22.01.2022 ANIMAL CRUELTY WARNING (Also a warning that this is descriptive So we can warn others and possibly find the owner of the cat and the perpetrator who did this ...you may choose not to read) ... HAD A REPORT COME IN WITH PHOTO EVIDENCE THAT A CAT HAD BEEN KILLED AND LACED WITH RATSACK AND THROWN OVER A FENCE TO DOGS ALLEGEDLY IN AN ATTEMPT TO POISON THE DOGS . (THE DOGS ARE OK AS THEY ARE CAT FRIENDLY AND DID NOT TOUCH THE CAT.) The kitty was a tabby and white with four white paws and white on belly and chest , not microchiped,anyone with ANY information please contact the Adelaide office of RSPCA and make a report so this can be investigated and the person charged. Area involved is the South East side of Port Lincoln Please keep your fur babies safe and report any suspicious activity to RSPCA , Police or Council unfortunately there are some very unstable people amongst us

07.01.2022 Once upon a time there was a tiny kitten. He loved his mummy and he loved his siblings very much, until one day his new family arrived and took him away. He ...sat quietly in a box as voices around him yelled Merry Christmas. A little girl saw him and squealed. She hugged him a little too tight, for a little too long. He got scared and he hid. He came out for food. Eventually he decided they weren’t so bad. He went outside and went exploring, and came home for meals and to cuddle with his humans. One day he came home and waited. And waited... and waited... but nobody came to open the door. He curled up at the door and slept, with hunger pains in his tummy. New people moved in. Not a new family for him, they didn’t want him. They kicked him off the deck and he wandered out into the street. He looked in windows, watched the families, remembered his warm blanket and his full bowl. He didn’t understand why nobody would let him join them. He fought other big male cats for food, and he got sick. He was so small and he didn’t know how to survive without his family. He was so hungry... A lady walked over and threw something that smelled really really good. He couldn’t resist. She threw a bit more and he crept closer. She reached out and patted his head, and he remembered his human family scratching his head. He leaned in slightly, and she grabbed him and stuffed him into a box. Now he sits in the window, looking out at the world, remembering the night he trusted the strange lady for one second and how it led to a new family - a family with endless cuddles, warm blankets, treats, good food, and most importantly - the promise to never leave him behind again.
