"I moved to Sydney from America 3 years ago not knowing a single person and haven't looked back. I am an ex attorney until I decided the tech folks were having all the fun! Here’s his brief interview : Tell us about Yourself? "Born in Melbourne and where I currently live with my partner Chelsea who works as an Obstetrician and our puppy Bobbi! I lived & worked in the UK for a few years until recently. I started my career as a strategy consultant in the Not For... Profit sector with organisations assisting homelessness, Refugee advocacy and Family Planning. I then leapt into digital working at both Yahoo!7 for a number of years then UNiDAYS. I joined UNiDAYS as an early hire in Australia, starting in sales & marketing and worked my way up to the EMEA Commercial Director helping this business scale to 3mil users & responsible for nearly AUD$55mil in revenue." Why the Travel App? "I have travelled & worked across Europe, US and Australia, but I never felt there was a loyalty platform that suited my needs. "Mother of 4, French, Australian & Lao, grew up in Asia moved to Australia to study & work. I started my 1st business at 15 to raise money & help educate local & international schools about HIV/AIDS. I went onto drafting anti-discrimination laws, running the largest paediatric HIV conference APAC and... becoming a TEDx talker for HIV. I love to study new things so never stopped, getting 3 x Masters & 2 x Bachelor Degrees in Law, Public Health, Business Admin, Economics & International Government. I went onto running innovation at J&J to Strategy at PwC before taking a leap of faith and started a global investment bank & capital market advisory firm with some incredible partners." 08.01.2022 Interview with our Co-Founder & Director of Growth Brian O’Farrell, he has been a powerhouse of energy & his commitment to helping others is incredible. Tell us about yourself? Born in Ireland, moved to Australia in 2010 after traveling here in 2008! I borrowed the money for a flight with the aim to try and make something of myself. I started my own IT recruitment company in 2013 with little money and proud to say today it has 100+ incredible perm & contract employees. I am... lucky to have partnered with Australia’s leading Tech companies today, many from the ground up like ZipMoney, Airwallex, Klook, AfterPay, Deputy, Canva & more. When Brian told me about the app, I immediately wanted to get involved. 05.01.2022 **Capital raise announcement** HUGE milestone for us as we are delighted to announce the completion of a private seed round in June. Here's a brief overview : What did this round mean? "It meant the world to us, financially it was great but the real excitement for us was the calibre of the investors (Stay tuned..) who not only believe but love our vision which was just an awesome feeling we were on the right track to making a big difference"... What was the money put towards? "Founder salaries...I wish! Haha, it went straight into finalising our product development, enhancing our team for user & merchant acquisition strategies all for going live late September with a focus on leverage early success to complete our Series A later this year!"
