25.01.2022 Going to get a little personal here for a minute. I've was suffering from post partum depression pretty bad after having Harper and it just didn't seem to be getting better. I have had some dark days, lots of tears, thoughts of what the hell have I done to my life, I felt like a failure, and just wanted to disappear some days. I still have bad days but things have definitely improved and things are getting a lot easier and funner too! I suffer from insomnia, but after Harpe...r was born It developed into chronic insomnia. Because of this I developed sever anxiety around sleep. Harper seemed to be a lot like me and just didn't want to sleep, ever! I became so anxious and was projecting my sleep issues on to her to the point where I didn't even want to leave my house that's how bad it got. This pink drink came into my life 5 months ago and it has saved me. It has helped me get a couple more hours of sleep a night and I feel like I'm getting bigger blocks of restfulness instead of being restless ALLLL night long. I've started to notice I feel more energetic and alert which has helped with the depression, it's also reduced my anxiety too! I don't get as sever afternoon crashes like I did and after I workout I still have energy to make it through the rest of my day. I'm also not so irritable and cranky. I am finally able to go out with her and I'm not SO stressed out about her naps anymore. I'm also starting to take care of me again and don't feel as guilty leaving to do that either. 16.01.2022 Why I love what I do... Yesterday my daughter called me from school in pain, so I was able to drive straight there to pick her up. Within 30 mins the doctor had referred us off to have blood tests & an X-ray. 2 yrs ago, this would've been a nightmare situation. I was very lucky Mum was home & could get to my kids schools faster than me.... I remember times when my bosses wouldn't even let me leave. 05.01.2022 18mths ago I was diagnosed with bilateral hip issues (avascular necrotic arthritis, hip dysplasia, absent ligament, labral tears, and CAM impingement). I was 34 at the time (waaaay too young for hip issues!) I was a breech baby and these issues stemmed from my own birth. So now instead of playing netball and playing with my kids I was told I needed a hip replacement. I knew something was going on, but didn't expect this. I was devastated at the time! (I hadn't lost a leg, but... relatively speaking, it was such a blow.) I had been already limping for 2 years prior to diagnosis (I know, typical mum procrastination!). ENTER finding out about Elite, through Angela Parker.... now, I'm such as sceptic when it comes to this kind of 'stuff'. (Ange can verify this!) But with such massive amounts of pain and struggle just to get through a day with 3 kids (and I'm not keen on analgesia per se), it was worth trying a natural alternative.... 04.01.2022 These 2 pics have popped up on my feed over the last week & they both nail the reason why I decided to step out of my comfort zone & make a difference in my life. I was tired of driving 90mins to & from work daily. I was tired of saying no to my kids when they had a Mother's Day event at school, or won an award at assembly, or playing inter school sports & they wanted me there. I was tired of working my butt off, as I've always done, not taking lunch breaks, but still h...aving that hour taken out of my pay. I was tired of wanting to change the direction of my life, but when you have qualifications & worked in the same industry & know your shit better than most others and are being headhunted & offered crazy $$$, the thought of going off & starting elsewhere scared the crap out of me!! So if any of this relates to you, maybe we should chat! After 19yrs of helping people in the Optometry world, I knew helping others was where my heart was at.
