25.01.2022 Hi folks, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on my feed. To be honest I haven’t been ok. This second lockdown has really affected my physical and emotional health and I know I’m not the only one. So many of my close friends are struggling too, a side effect of this extended lockdown and the constant state of uncertainty that we’ve all been weighed down by. The one thing that’s helped me the most is reaching out to my friends and being honest about my situation. The love an...d support I’ve received in return has really filled my heart As I was writing this post my dear friend called through and pulled an affirmation card for me and it was so on point I have to share! ‘Your body knows how to heal. healing is your natural state. Physical and emotional disharmony can be a reflection of how the world (inner and outer) has been out of alignment. 25.01.2022 To all my gals having trouble with their outgrown iso nails here’s a step by step of how to remove sns or shellac nails at home. Swipe to see progress You’ll need two glass or ceramic bowls (not plastic) a nail file, pure acetone, paper towel and a hand towel. Step 1. Buff off the top layer (all of the shine) Step 2. Take two bowls ( 1 large, 1 slightly smaller to nestle inside the larger bowl). Fill the larger bowl with a small amount of hot water (*making sure it w...on’t overflow into the smaller bowl) Place smaller bowl inside the larger bowl with a folded piece of paper towel inside. Fill the smaller bowl with enough acetone to cover your nails (around 100mls) Soak both your hands in the bowl (cover your hands and the bowl with a towel to avoid breathing in the fumes) for around 25-30mins. If you run your nails against the paper towel in the bowl it helps remove the polish quicker. Step 3. Buff your nails, wash them and if you’re not putting on more nail polish use a cuticle oil or nail strengthener. 20.01.2022 Lockdown life is really taking its toll on us Melbournians. But we will get through this together Connection is key at the moment especially for those like myself who live alone. I really appreciate the daily phone chats with my besties @wildatheartglitters @meandmygirl. The daily yoga and meditation practices and live events with @_thelightcollective_ , the high vibe collection online events hosted by @soulfullwellness and the many more zoom chats/ art dates etc with won...derful souls. It’s all these wonderful moments of connection, laughter and joy that hold off the loneliness that isolation can bring. So if you know anyone living alone.. make sure you check in on them to see how they are doing.

20.01.2022 I can’t believe it has only been a couple weeks since I last painted a face... it feels like forever ago!! This is the gorgeous mother of the bride for a wedding that still got to go ahead despite all the odds and their venue cancelling on them the morning of the event!It was just as the restrictions had started to tighten up but weddings were still allowed to go ahead with limited numbers and adequate space. So their family and friends all rallied together and man...aged to pull off a gorgeous intimate backyard wedding at the very last minute. As much as I’m missing my job and the connection I have with my clients my heart also really goes out to all the couples who have had to postpone their dream weddings. But never fear LOVE HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED and after this is all over the weddings that do get to go ahead (even if they are in a smaller capacity then originally planned) will be all that more precious. 08.01.2022 Tonight is the Pink Super Full Moon in Libra. Full moons are a great time for releasing and letting go of stagnant emotions. Tonight I’ll be joining in @_thelightcollective_ for their full moon yoga practice (via livestream of course in these ISO times). Check them out if you feel like you’re being called to doing a full moon practice with a supportive community. Or a nice little ritual that I like to to do is to write your feelings or anything negative you want to let ...go off down on a piece of paper and burn them them outside under the full moon (in a fireproof bowl or container of course!) As the paper turns into ash, you may like to say within your mind or out loud I release this, so may it be, or simply goodbye. When the paper has turned completely to ash you can either scatter the ash to the wind or bury it in your garden. You can do a little meditation at the beginning or end of the ritual, cleanse yourself or your space with some Sage or Palo Santo.. there’s no right or wrong way.. do whatever feels right to you. 05.01.2022 This is me at the moment.. trying to look on the bright side despite the fear of all the uncertainty that we are facing right now. Even though I’m feeling all the feels.. and my emotions are up and down at any given moment.. I’m choosing to focus on the bright side of enforced home time. I’m using this time to work on my own business & self development. I’m doing meditation with @_thelightcollective_ every online yoga classes with @thesanctuarythailand ..., I’ve just signed up to @caraclyne.bridal Hair Boss University so I can learn to create beautiful polished updo’s and downstyles and I’m working on an online version of my one on one make up lessons- customised for small business owners or anyone else that still needs to ‘show up’ online for their audience. Plus I also have a free counseling session with the inspiring @victorialucillefox and a free marketing session with the talented @societystate next week! 05.01.2022 World Mental Health Day 2020 has been a such challenging year and lockdown life has had a negative impact on so many of us. I went through quite a low period in this second lockdown. I was grieving the loss of my business, and literally being so isolated (I live alone) from my dear friends. But now that the restrictions have eased a little (thank god for outdoor hangs and social bubbles!) I’ve really started to see the light again. ... I feel like I’ve finally got my mojo back and I’m starting to do the things I love and think more positively about the future The things that helped me out of this funk were: Meditation and yoga with @_thelightcollective_ , going for walks with friends, taking care of my plant babies, breathwork sessions with @perpetualbreath, cooking nourishing meals, jigsaw puzzles (thanks @meandmygirl) working on a new business with @cadence.and.grace (watch this space ) and endless phone calls with friends If you’re struggling at this time, know that you are not alone.
