19.01.2022 This behaviour is not ok, please research who you are buying a puppy from. And yes they are flies all over her & not only did she die becuase her breeder failed her by not seeking vet assistance when she needed it during birth, she also was not even the legal breeding age.

Responsible, high-quality breeders tend to have longer wait lists, space litters out to manage animal welfare, and only have the number of breeding dogs they can give the right care to. And of course, matings and pregnancies still need to be a success! This can be a little disheartening for owners who are ready for a puppy now, and unfortunately, a lot of irresponsible breeders take advantage o...f this desperation, and breed constantly or without proper welfare standards to meet this demand. This can often mean owners are unintentionally supporting unethical breeders, and may encounter problems with their puppy down the track. That's why we believe the best puppies are worth the wait. Dogs can be part of the family for 10+ years, and while it may seem like a long wait now, taking a few extra months to get the right dog can be absolutely worth it in the long run.

12.01.2022 We have managed to keep the pups nice & cool today but poor Xena is suffering from Mastitis & has a temp of 39.9 The vet is happy to treat her as an out patient for now so long as we can get her temp down & control the infection. At this stage I have been unable to get her to eat so she's taken no medication. Fingers crossed as I try to get her temp to drop I can get her eating again

05.01.2022 When buying a puppy of ANY breed, please please please do your research & make sure you are not supporting a puppy farm. Places like this operate in Victoria as well and often with registered breeders. Things you can do to help stop the support of a puppy farm: 1, Check to see how many litters they are having a year. You can always ring dogs victoria or appropriate body & ask how many have been registered 2, Insist on meeting the mum & dad. Then you can see for yourself the... condition they are in eg healthy or look like they need TLC 3, Make sure parents have had the health checks recommended by the ANKC. These aren't mandatory but it shows whether the breeder actually cares about their dogs & pups by making sure the parents aren't passing any issues on 4, Go to the breeders house & make sure the dogs & pups aren't living in cages All of this can still apply even if they aren't a registered breeder, any dog can have a cardiac check etc not just a registered one. If you don't give a shit about any of this & just want a pup because that's what you want & you can give it a better life than the breeder anyway, then you don't deserve a puppy. Supporting puppy farms or breeders just out for money is NOT ok. And remember, for as long as you keep buying puppies from them, they will keep breeding See more

02.01.2022 This is worth sharing. There are a lot of breeds that don’t love everyone and don’t want to be petted by strangers. Dear Random People Who Want to Pet my Dog. No. He is not shy. ... No. He has not been abused. No. He was not poorly socialized. He just doesn't like you, and because he doesn't like you..... he doesn't want you to touch him. For the record, he doesn't DISlike you either. You just literally do not mean anything to him and as such he sees no reason to allow you to invade his personal space. Yes, he backs off when you try to force your unwanted affection on him. No, he is not afraid. He's just getting the hell away from you because he thinks you're rude and inappropriate. Dogs that don't OH MY GAWD LOVE EVERYONE are not automatically mean or scared. Sometimes they just don't give a crap about saying hello.
