20.01.2022 It was lovely to meet Dan recently and hear his stories and anecdotes about the school. I loved hearing about where the Year 7s would have their disco, how the cricket pitch used to be a community hub and I especially liked hearing the stories about the different teachers!!!! Thanks Dan for sharing your stories, we are looking forward to hearing more at our birthday celebrations in September. Hopefully you’re free to come share a slice of cake!

05.01.2022 This term teachers are working with students to identify character strengths. When we use our strengths we enjoy what we’re doing and are motivated to do it better! This helps with self-esteem and wellbeing that can grow over time. A fun way to spot character strengths with your children is through books and movies. For example, Frozen demonstrates love and Inside Out highlights wisdom and decision making. If you’d like to know more about character strengths ask your child’s teacher or visit https://langleygroup.com.au/cultivating-character-strength/ or https://www.viacharacter.org

01.01.2022 19/5/21 - Today was National Simultaneous Storytime where children across Australia & New Zealand read the book, Give me some space! We joined over a million kids at 10:30am our time to join in the event. Some classes viewed an Astronaut reading the book from Space while others read the picture book in class. Here are some of the art responses our early childhood classes created. Link to the story is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeCxxMZjlFo
01.01.2022 Thank you to Christina's donation of a gotu kola and capsicum seedling, vegetable seeds and pineapple plant. She has a dragon fruit plant waiting for us as well! As part of the Berry Street Education Model, Year 1 -3 Hub students are learning about values and character strengths in role models, such as ‘being generous’. It's exciting to see our learners witness how generous our community is with their donations towards our vegetable garden.... Thanks Christina :)
