23.01.2022 The OSTRC Shoulder Injury Prevention Programme reduced the risk of shoulder problems in elite handball by 28%, and the risk of substantial shoulder problems by ...22%. (Andersson et al. 2017) The RCT (linked below) involved 660 elite Norwegian handball players and aimed to evaluate the effects of an exercise programme designed to reduce the prevalence of shoulder problems in elite handball. Please bring a plate. This grading is for everyone in the Senior class.... For both gradings please try and be there at 5:30pm so that we can begin at 6pm - otherwise it will be a long night! 15.01.2022 Good evening all, Social distancing is the current catch phrase and Malanda Judo Club has decided that it is in the best interests of the community to also cease training until after the holidays. Ours is a close contact sport and we would hate for anyone to catch the coronavirus because they came to training. Please keep an eye on the Facebook site for updates. 07.01.2022 Hi everyone, Judo is back this Wednesday at 5:30 for the juniors and 6:30 for the older kids and adults. Covid rules still apply as they did last term. You will need to sign in at the front, sanitise your hands and feet, and parents are still not encouraged to congregate :(. ... Please make sure your child has a waterbottle, AND WEARS SHOES TO JUDO. It is also important that your child's judo gi is WASHED prior to Wednesday's lesson. Finger and toe nails should also be short and if your child wears earrings or jewelery it needs to be taped up or removed prior to class. Fees remain the same this year and invoices will be sent out in due course:- Insurance and registration - $35 Mat fee per child per term - $50 Judo gi - from $59 depending in make and quality We spent this afternoon cleaning and mopping the mat so that we are ready to go for the year. If you would like to assist the Club during the year by helping to mop the mat occasionally can you please let Bindi know - we might set up a cleaning roster. See you all at judo! Your coaches

19.12.2021 Ladies and Gentlemen, This year's Christmas breakup will be held at the Malanda Judo Hall. Saturday 11th December 12 Midday to 2pm. ... BYO chairs and Drinks. We will be playing games, chilling out and maybe even having a water pistol fight to cool down, so bring a towel and a spare set of clothes. Food will be provided - Subway, Pizza and KFC, please feel free to bring a plate of sweets for afterwards. If you have a gazebo that we could borrow for some shade, please shoot us a message.
