25.01.2022 Dear customers! This is a information update about our current situation with the COVID19 pandemic, thats has affected our community, and country. We are happy to say that our takeaway options for coffee, cake's, bread and other goodies are still avaliable! But we are also sad to inform you, that to the current situation we are in. We have suspended our dine in cafe services and we're having to adhere to social distancing rule. For your convenience we are selling fr...ozen vacum sealed family pies for $15 and packs of 4 standard pies for $15. For your safety and convenience, you can phone ahead of time to put orders in with our friendly staff. And we will gather your order together for you to easily pick up and pay! We are still staying strong and happy and are open for business at our regular hours, so please call or pop in for a pie or a coffee. And please Stay safe

24.01.2022 Hello there from Deb and Ashley and the Bakery Team We hope you are all keeping well, happy and safe.We have just a quick note to say that the government have updated the number of people per square meter- social distancing rules and what that means in our little coffee shop that we are allowed 3 people (in the customer area) at the one time...we are still making takeaway coffee and sandwiches...but ask for your assistance by waiting outside once you have ordered. and we will call out your order Remember to keep up the good work, stay safe and wash your hands as much as you can with soap and water

22.01.2022 Hay there from Ashley and Debbie from malanda Bakery, just a quick note to say that we're "still open"...we've got lots of yummy products. Our apprentices and bakery team are utilizing their spare time making some very yummy cakes, cheese cakes and fruit tarts. Also don't forget we have frozen pies (4 packs) and frozen family pies Because Anzac day falls on Saturday this year we won't be opening Saturday 25th as a mark of respect to the servicemen and women. We'll see yo...u on the Monday 27th. Again a big "thank you" to our team for all their support and harmonious efforts during this very "topsy turvy" time. 20.01.2022 Good morning from Ashley and Debbie from malanda Bakery...just note to say that we're closed for Easter: Friday 10th CLOSED, Saturday11th CLOSED, Sunday 12th CLOSED... Monday13th. CLOSED Normal... WEEK Days We're still open for take away and wholesale......and still really proud of everyone in our little team they're SPECTACULAR please let them know when you see them... We have decided that we're going to close Easter Saturday(tomorrow)...so as to give us all a well deserved break. Ashley and James will, however be baking for wholesale tonight (for Spar etc.) so bread will be available tomorrow at Spar. MABAKERS THOUGHS FOR THIS POST We are sending out a extra special BIG "SHOUT OUT" to all those people having special BIRTHDAYS and can't have parties...eg: 13th,18th, 21st... Make sure that you SEND them lots of virtual HUGS cards and balloons to make them feel HAPPY and APPRECIATED. Please remember to be grateful for the fact that we're living here in Australia. Be a bit less grumpy, smile at people a bit more often because they're probably just as "freaked out" and frightened as you are. Feel BLESSED because as hard and uncomfortable things (seem) get for us all...we are SO FORTUNATE compared to what people over seas are dealing with.. As today is GOOD FRIDAY...maybe it might be a ideal time for us all to have a selfless thought (eg: prayer) for the good health and safey of all our own families, friends and loved ones. Don't forget a prayer for all of those worldwide who are frail,elderly or sick and especially send a prayer of protection over the hard working emergency workers & medical teams helping us all... and spare a thought for the souls who have passed away already worldwide ....here is a small "prayer candle" to use HAPPY Easter and please stay safe... keep up the good work...wash you're hands with soap and water...& social distancing saves lives

They have our bread there should you wish to get some when your getting your meat order and of course it's also at Spar. "A BIG SHOUT OUT" to all the other businesses , MEDICAL TEAMS,banks and staff working in this situation...you're all fantastic ...and we appreciate everything you're doing...THANK YOU and also another Thank you to all of our customers- for being so thoughtful , supportive and cooperative we REALLY do appreciate how you are helping us in so many ways...adhering to the social distancing restrictions for one. 05.01.2022 Big HELLO THERE from everyone at Malanda Bakery, hopefully this post finds you all safe and well. With the extra time on our hands we have developed some really nice vegetarian treats and VEGETARIAN size family pie , also a very nice family size lamb and Rosemary pie. Our apprentice on the pastry team- Liam is making some spectacular cheese cakes, mud cakes and fruit tarts, my personal favourite was the maltesa, but passion fruit was a close second or the mango and coconut ...or the mars bar cheese cakes....mind you they're all yummy and our apprentice on the bread team- James is also doing some really beautiful birthday cakes. Again a big thank you to our team and customers for being so awesome during the past few weeks..we hope that you're enjoying your May day long weekend.
