25.01.2022 PBL/Pause PBL - Week 4: Playground Respect & Play Time In this lesson, students will learn to be respectful to others in the playground while playing in their correct area and are what of the options available for them to participate in at play time.



25.01.2022 Each year we are fortunate to have Life Education visit our school to teach age appropriate modules from a Prep to Year 6. The modules taught to our students by Life Education include Healthy Eats, All Systems Go, Harold’s Diary, bCyberwise, Safety Rules, Growing Good Friends, Relate, Respect, Connect and Harold’s Friendship. Here is 1B engaged in their Safety Rules session

24.01.2022 How spectacular We had about 500 people in the photo, including Missy’s parents Robert and Anj. It was a touching experience, which will be a lasting memory for the children. 23.01.2022 The Moolanda News Technical Crew have nearly completed their training on how to compose the final clips that we publish from the segments covered by our reporters. We have been very lucky to have Ross from the Malanda Chamber of Commerce give up his time to upskill the students. Ross has been so impressed with how quickly the students have learnt how to use the editing software. His friend even made the students their own official ‘Technical Crew’ cap. How cool!

21.01.2022 Students in Year 6 participated in a Zoom session with Year 6 students from Shirahama Daini Elementary School in Japan. After exchanging letters a number of times this year, students met their pen pals for the first time. Everyone had such a great time introducing themselves and asking and answering questions in Japanese and English. A wonderful experience and we hope to do it again!

09.01.2022 Australian Early Development Census Over the coming weeks, our Prep Teachers will begin the Australian Early Development Census. The helps to build a nationwide picture of our children’s health and wellbeing as they begin school. Teachers answer questions about five key areas that are important for children's development: physical health and wellbeing social competence... emotional maturity language and cognitive skills (school-based) communication skills and general knowledge. 05.01.2022 Noah is a Year 1 student from the Malanda Family but is currently attending a school in the South East Queensland due to their family situation. He entered this art piece into the Brisbane Portrait Prize. Noah was the youngest participant at 6 years old, with the next oldest being 14. He was one of 14 entries to receive a high commendation for his work out of 94 total entries. We are super proud of you Noah and look forward to seeing you again soon
