15.01.2022 Saretta Fielding is a member of the Wonaruah Nation, of the Hunter Valley Region in New South Wales. She is the founder of Saretta Art and Design, and Malang In...digenous Corporation, a not-for-profit supporting the sustainable economic and social inclusion of Aboriginal people in the community. Her art is informed by visits on Wonaruah Country - ‘One that had a big impact on me growing up is a large sand engraving site. There are over a dozen engravings in the rock shelf. We used to camp there at night - where we’d brush off the leaves and light a lantern. The grooves in the rock would light up, and you’d see the imagery’.
