22.01.2022 Last year the Kingaroy Firies raised $8,767. And today as they embarked on a 3 day journey across the #southburnett and #darlingdowns on their postie bikes, so far they have raised $5,335. #movember is all about men's mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. "BY 2030, WE AIM TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MEN DYING PREMATURELY BY 25%." - Movember Foundation.... What a great initiative.

15.01.2022 It was great to see such a well supported event. Great job Stuart River Rural Fire Brigade. We heard you were out until 2pm this morning fighting fires. From the pictures, it looks like the kids enjoyed catching up with Blazer Bear and Bushy the kangaroo.



15.01.2022 Out and about with - in support of #movember2020 Astill's electrician, Boof, called by the Wondai station yesterday to farewell fell...ow Fire and Rescue team members as they were about to embark on their 3 day ride through the #southburnett and #darlingdowns to raise money and awareness for men's health, when their Wondai station received a fire call out. Without missing a beat, Boof and his team kitted up and took off to attend to the fire out on Durong Road, with the crew leaving soon after on route to their first leg stopover at Munduberra. They have a team of 12, with 10 riding postie bikes and 2 in the Riverina (Murgon) support vehicle. Last year they raised close to $9,000. 12.01.2022 Multiple crews responded to a large grass fire at Wooroolin Wetlands today on East Wooroolin Road. Two of our crew were on scene. The fire has been contained. As per Stuart River Rural Fire Brigade's earlier message on their Facebook page, "East Wooroolin Rd, Sports Ground Rd, and Transmitter Rd have been affected by fire, smoke, and falling trees. Motorists should avoid the area. The Bunya Highway at Wooroolin will continue to be effected by smoke. ...Crews are still on scene and will monitor the area over the next few days". #southburnett Burnett Today southburnett.com.au

07.01.2022 NANANGO MEN'S SHED FIRE Sometime after midnight last night a structural fire was reported at the Nanango Men's Shed facilities on Mt Stanley Road, Nanango. A ...Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said three fire crews were called to the six by two metre fire with the first crew arriving at the blaze at 12.45am. Crews worked to get the blaze under control and extinguish hot spots until 2.30am. A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the location of fire is now an official crime scene with officers still at the scene. Fire investigators are due to arrive at the scene later this morning. At this point in time, the fire is being treated as suspicious in nature. More information to come.
