08.01.2022 YOU NEED - PAVERS #playideas Loose parts, smoosh parts - this type of material has become a big part of play settings of all sorts right around the world over t...he last decade or so, largely thanks to the efforts of the Playwork sector and organisations such as Pop-Up Adventure Play in particular. But what range of loose parts do we have available? One kind of loose parts we often neglect and those we might find in a DIY store. Large building and garden materials provide the opportunity of big construction and boundary making - all starting points for other sorts of playing. The ability to create boundaries in particular is an important part of creating ‘play-frames’. Flat paving stones are unique in their properties and have all sorts of potential uses in this context, but have you ever considered making them available as part of your loose parts stock? Tell us about your examples of using these: have you ever consider this? Have you tried it? Do you have examples already? Extra points for photos! Please join in and #SHARETHIS For the latest in-person and on-line PD from Marc see www.facebook.com/marc.armitage.at.play/events
