08.01.2022 The 2020 Morwell International Rose Garden Festival Program is a bit different this year and will include talks from Jonathan Webster, Curator RHS Garden Rosemoor, Rebecca Koraytem from David Austin Roses, Costa Georgiadis, an interactive performance from dirtgirl, workshops, virtual stall holders, music from Gippsland artists, Gallery tours and activities people can download and follow along from home. Online, visitors will be able to navigate a 360 degree virtual map of the... Morwell Centenary Rose Garden, explore up close the rose varieties and click on events and activities of interest. The only thing you won’t be able to do is smell the roses! One of the most exciting elements of this virtual event is that people will be able to comment, text chat with presenters and take part in workshops, all from the comfort of their home, anywhere in the world. The festival will be viewable on a smart phone, tablet or computer via the festival website and includes Auslan Interpreters and captions on all talks and workshops. Participation is free but people must register on the festival website beforehand at www.irgfm.com.au AGL Midsummer Night Lights Installation: While the 2020 International Rose Garden Festival Morwell is primarily an online event this year, local and regional Victorian residents will also be able to explore the AGL Mid-summer Night Lights Instalment on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November from 7:30pm - 10:30pm at the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden, 2 Avondale Road, Morwell.
