24.01.2022 As it is warming up we can expect more snake activity. The males will be out looking for some action with the females, who tend remain within their territory. Enjoy watching them but do so at a safe distance and do not engage with them.
22.01.2022 Here is a pic of a 90cm ish Red Bellied Black Snake relocated from Witta yesterday. It is flattened out because it feels a bit threatened but it is not being bitey.
18.01.2022 This Red Bellied Black Snake is brown because of the dirt staining on its skin. Just because it is brown does not mean that it is an Eastern Brown or that it is not a Red Bellied Black Snake. Relocated from Booroobin today. It would have been closer to 1.5m if it still has its tail.
15.01.2022 This what an almost 3 meter, 10kg carpet python looks like with a couple of chickens in its belly.
15.01.2022 Here is a nice 1.5m Brown Tree Snake relocated from Maleny a couple of days ago.
14.01.2022 Not too many snakes around at the moment but I thought I'd post a couple of pics. They are both eastern brown snakes. One being a baby and the other a juvenile. They look quite different from the adults.
13.01.2022 I had to euthanase a nice sized black snake today after it had been attacked by a dog. Unfortunately for the dog and its owners it is now on a drip at the vet receiving antivenin. Hopefully it pulls through.
12.01.2022 Have a look at the dark patch on the head and the blackish bands (they are a bit hard to see) on this almost 5' eastern brown I relocated from Crohamhurst today.
12.01.2022 This fella came to visit under our patio for a few days to soak up some heat. Probably about 2.2 meters at a guess.
12.01.2022 Carpet pythons come in all different sizes. From a 3 month old baby to this almost 10kg beauty.
10.01.2022 A pic of a green tree snake relocated today. A bit fuzzy but shows the blue skin and defensive pose quite nicely.
10.01.2022 It is spring and the weather is warming up. The males are out looking for females. It is dry and snakes like a drink of water. Have snake awareness and leave them alone. This is a 1.8m eastern brown relocated from North Maleny. It is only in the last few years that I have seen an increase in brown snake activity around Maleny. Conondale has lots of them!

07.01.2022 I moved a couple of carpet pythons today from Flaxton. I think they were both females. It would be pretty good to have some breeding around here.
06.01.2022 some good info for you.
04.01.2022 We are lucky in Australia to have an exciting assortment of venomous snakes. https://www.facebook.com//a.16298965047/1103506376427904/

01.01.2022 My first rough scaled snake. I have had call outs for them in the past but all turned out to be keel backs. Unfortunately it had been crushed under a piece of furniture and had to be euthanased.
