This would normally be a time when I would be up at 5am after a night of hardly any sleep with the 'have I done that' thoughts running through my head. I am missing the community we build during the Maleny Wood Expo which would be happening this weekend. The Picture below is one of my most cherished memories of the past few years. 15.01.2022 Maleny Wood Expo 2020 Cancellation In line with the Federal Government’s directive, Barung Landcare regrets to advise of our decision to cancel the Maleny Wood Expo planned for 2-4 May. We completely support the government’s initiatives to slow the spread of infection, as the health of our community should always take precedence. However we cannot help but be disappointed, for Barung, for our exhibitors, and more generally for the Maleny and broader Sunshine Coast community..., as the Expo is a major community event for Maleny, and brings a significant influx of visitors to the wider community. We would like to pay tribute to all the hard work of the Expo committee, led by Steve McLeish, over the last 18 months, and to acknowledge the significant commitment by sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers. If it had been a normal year and we had gone ahead, we know it would have been a truly fantastic event, better than ever. Our focus now is on Maleny Wood Expo 2021, and our aim is to make this more rewarding than ever for our visitors, sponsors and exhibitors. We look forward to seeing you there.
