23.01.2022 This Wednesday we have our Primary Assembly at 9am and Friday our Secondary Assembly at 9am. It will be wonderful to have all our families celebrate our students’ successes. In the Nature Playground we will having our Seniors stall showcasing all of the items the students have made in micro enterprises and we will have a community craft group selling lots of wonderful things to help raise money towards Christmas hampers for Mandurah residents.
22.01.2022 Do you love a good Trivia Night? If so save the date - Saturday 3rd October. 6pm doors open for a 7pm start at Warnbro Bowls Club. $80 a table. All proceeds for this event will be proudly donated to Malibu School. Let’s get behind this to raise money for our wonderful school.
22.01.2022 Today we were joined by six of our local Police officers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The students listened to the officers discuss how the LETR supports the Special Olympics and then they participated in our own Torch Run. It was a great morning and the students loved having a turn holding the "Flame of Hope' and calling out the LETR Chant. 21.01.2022 Today students in the Permaculture and Horticulture course spent the morning planting 100 native plants that were donated to the school by Native Plants WA and the Wildflower Society of Western Australia Inc. - Events They also donated some gloves and gardening tools for students to use in our garden. A huge thanks to Craig from Native Plants WA who spent the morning with the students, making sure the plants were in the right spot and he even helped with some weeding!

20.01.2022 Today we celebrated the students’ achievements at our Whole School Assembly. The Specialist teachers hosted the assembly and showcased all of the work the students have done in their areas. Congratulations to all of the students who received a certificate today.
20.01.2022 Junior students had a wonderful experience practicing some cricket skills with members of WACA. Brodie Green from Peel Cricket had been kind enough to secure some funding that would enable any student who wishes to further their cricket (with modified activities for SN) are able to register free with Warnbro Swans Cricket. Further details will be sent to those students who participated in the cricket program, however contact Debbie (P,E.) if you require more information and she will direct your enquires to Brodie.
19.01.2022 Tomorrow our students will be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch run with some of our local community police. It is a great opportunity for our students to experience what it is like to carry the torch for the Olympics and be part of a global event. Some of our senior classes will also have their micro enterprise products such as door stops, sensory bottles and pamper boxed available in a mini market stall. Families are welcome to attend with the Primary students starting at 9 and the Secondary students at 10am!

19.01.2022 We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the Day for Daniel FUNraiser this year on the 30th October. Since its foundation, the Daniel Morcombe Foundation has committed its efforts to educating children about their personal safety and supporting young victims of crime. By participating in the Day for Daniel FUNraiser we hope to raise community awareness for child safety and fundraise so the Foundation can continue its outstanding work. All relevant information will be sent home with the students next week so please keep an eye out for your child’s sponsorship forms and a parent letter. @schoolfunrun @danielmorcombefoundation

18.01.2022 Malibu School's annual Navy Day Christmas party was a huge success with everybody having a wonderful time. A big thank you to all the staff who helped make it possible, Chief Petty Officer Toni Ralph, student helpers from Safety Bay SHS & Baldivis Secondary College, Willow Tree Realty Baldivis, CWA Baldivis Belles - Country Women's Association of WA, CWA Rockingham, Soroptimist International of Rockingham and a very appreciated donation from HMAS Stirling.
17.01.2022 Fundraising for the Day for Daniel FUNraiser has officially begun! With just a few short weeks until the event, we ask our entire community to get behind our kids and support the @danielmorcombefoundation in achieving their mission of keeping kids safe. While it’s important to remember that we are holding this fundraiser to support the foundation, all students that raise over $10 will receive a prize. 13.01.2022 This Friday Malibu School will be hosting a Talk Like a Pirate Day. We will be asking all students to dress like a pirate for a gold coin donation. All proceeds will go towards Childhood Cancer Support. Our amazing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Team has been working hard to create a range of Pirate activities for our amazing students. We will be having treasure hunts and giving out prizes for students that demonstrate our School Expectations: Keeping Safe, Being Your Best, and Showing Respect.

12.01.2022 Starfish Nippers is a volunteer run program aimed to teach young people with disabilities beach safety and water awareness skills. The program runs for 8 weeks beginning in late January and finishing in March.

02.01.2022 Wow what an amazing evening our senior students had at our first Malibu School Ball. Everyone looked very formal in their outfits and everyone had a fantastic time, dancing the night away. Congratulations to Michael and Bianca who were the Beau and Belle of the ball. Special thanks to the C3 Church Mandurah for allowing us to use your facilities to make this evening possible. The transport to the venue provided by Go Party Bus Perth was also a huge hit. It was great so... see the students enjoying the music along the way to the venue. The food was also amazing, a big thank you to Impressions Catering for the wonderful meal. Our MC Ben New was also impressive as he provided entertainment throughout the night. This night would not have been possible without the support of the staff who helped in organising the event. A huge thank you to everyone who ran stalls selling the microenterprise items the senior classes had made to raise funds, to organising the caterers, venue and decorations. It was a magical night for everyone!
02.01.2022 Today we recognised NAIDOC with a Whole School celebration. Our Elder Lindsay hosted the Assembly as we watched the traditional dances and participated in a traditional smoking ceremony. We also welcomed some students from Gilmore's Clontarf Academy who ran a painting and sand art activity with our students. Also a warm thank you to Woolworths Waikiki for their generous donation with a sausage sizzle.
