21.01.2022 Malibu is back ladies !! With restrictions being eased we can now reopen and will be open for appointments as early as this coming Wednesday the 3rd of June! Thank you all so much for your kind words and continued support over this time and thank you to everyone who purchased products for at home delivery, I have to admit it’s been fun seeing all your beautiful homes and realising I need to spend a little time on my poor old garden ... Mother’s Day looks a little different this year, but I’m hoping each and every one of you are having a wonderful day and surrounded by those who matter most, and we can all cherish days like today just a little more. I have to say every Mum is terrific but an extra shout out to all Mums dealing with home schooling at the moment without pulling your hair out!! 18.01.2022 A Message to all of our lovely and adored clients: Due to the COVID19 crisis, Malibu Spray has taken on new procedures and protocols as we will remain open for now as per government recommendations, please see below and we will continue to stay updated and continue to inform clients of any changes. We have put great thought and care into how each step of our services are delivered to you safely. ... -Hand sanitizer is provided at the front counter and is asked that all clients use this upon entry and leaving. -Disposables only will be used throughout the salon such as recyclable foot mats rather then towels, hairnets, wipes etc even bottled water rather then glass ware. -We are being extra careful and vigilant with our cleaning, and plenty of disinfectant wipes, sprays and products are being used to thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces. -For now, sadly, the far infrared sauna room is closed until further notice. As well as our makeup sessions and makeup lessons will be on hold. Please note any clients who have prepaid sauna sessions will not lose their sessions, no sessions will have an expiration date. -The VIP room for weddings and group bookings will also be temporarily closed due to space and distance requirements. -Spray tanning and light therapy treatments will continue for the time being with additional procedures, so all clients can feel safe visiting the salon. -We ask please if anyone is feeling unwell or showing any symptoms to cancel/reschedule their appointments. One thing that will remain the same is our happy and friendly faces, we want you to continue to enjoy your ‘time-out’ at Malibu, for as long as you can, safely Each and everyone’s safety is the absolute most important thing right now and should be put first. 17.01.2022 To our Dear and much loved clients, After much thought and consideration, due to the seriousness of the COVID19 crisis Malibu Spray will be closing its doors until further notice for the first time in 13 years. The safety and well-being of all of our beautiful clients and staff is the most important thing to myself and everyone at Malibu Spray. Despite the government announcement of beauty salons/ services staying operational I just could not bare the thought of any one of... my clients, staff or anyone affiliated with Malibu Spray being put in harms way because I decided to continue to operate under these circumstances, it’s feels completely immoral and we all have a duty to keep everyone safe at this time. We are talking about people’s lives. Even with having the salon cleaned down with every hospital grade disinfectant known to man between each client it is absolutely impossible for any beauty service (even spray tanning) to deliver this service to you and be at the recommended 1.5 metre distance for your health and safety. I will contact each and every client personally who are currently booked in, and will continue to keep you all posted on changes and when it is safe to book in again. No pre-paid services will be lost, all will have no expiration date including any gift cards. I would like to say please don’t hesitate to contact myself at any time for any questions. I will also continue to be here personally for you to contact directly by phone or message for the best tips and tricks on how to master your flawless self tan application and best available products for home tanning. Malibu will stay connected with you in this time and will keep you updated shortly with at home tanning products and equipment available and will be offering delivery on all products if needed. 13.01.2022 let’s talk SKIN PREP Prepping your skin and proper exfoliation the day before a tan is to the perfect result Here’s Malibu’s top tips:... soak in the shower or bath for for a good few minutes prior to exfoliation exfoliate gently with a good quality exfoliating mitt (you can find them stocked at Malibu) moisturise as your final step (as long as it’s the DAY BEFORE your tan) the day of your tan, shower your skin with no/minimal soap or bath products, and do not moisturise after, your skin should be clean and fresh for the best result Follow those steps to get the most out of your spray every time
