13.01.2022 Its our birthday! Mallala Motorsport Park opened 59 years ago today Formerly the site of RAAF Base Mallala, the land was purchased by a group of enthusiasts and turned into a new venue for the Australian Grand Prix. The first race meeting was held on 19th August 1961, with Bib Stillwell winning the feature race in a Cooper Climax. The circuit later hosted the Australian Grand Prix on 9th October 1961. The track was shortened to its current layout in 1964, and closed in 197...1. It was reopened by the legendary Clem Smith in 1980, and has been in continuous use since then! 02.01.2022 Heres a few highlights from our first ever Mallalaps! at Mallala Motorsport Park on Sunday 9 August. This event had something for everyone - Cars, Coffee & Cruise, Mustang Hot Laps, and Speed Off The Street! It was fantastic to see so many special cars on display. The big green Plymouth Roadrunner got lots of attention both on and off the track, taking part in the cruise and Speed Off The Street afterwards!
