19.01.2022 We would like to update everyone regarding the horrible fires around the country in relation to us: The closest fire to us at the moment is about 500kms/310miles. The air is clear here and we have not experienced any threats from the fires.... That being said we still need a small amount of people for our Harvest season mid/end January so get onto us if you want to get those days done quick!

14.01.2022 Recent reports have come up that a Red Cliffs Backpacker has possibly tested positive for COVID19. This has not been confirmed or denied by DHHS but is still going around the Facebook world, We would like to state that The Mallee Inn have had NO guests test positive for COVID19, and have had no new guests in the Hostel for over a Month. We have brought into place numerous new policies as required to limit our impact on the local area while also following all new Distancing/Tr...avel guidelines as set out by the Australian Government. Applicants must have good English speaking skills, drivers license preferred or at least provisional as a minimum, and the willingness to complete your 88 days in a team environment. Upcoming work includes, Packing House, Pruning, factory work, Irrigation crews & a variety of other opportunities... On offer -Wages are paid at Horticultural Award Rates -Payslips emailed -Pay’s direct to banks Please note all successful applicants must either have a COVID Test completed or go through a 14 day Isolation prior to entering Hostel. 04.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING BOOKING AT THE MALLEE INN Official release: WLTC Pty Ltd. March 18, 2020... The World Health Organisation has declared the COVID 19 as a pandemic with the Australian Government requesting the community to exercise social distancing to mitigate its spread. WLTC PTY LTD (The Mallee Inn) operating in Red Cliffs, Victoria, Australia is following advice from the Australian Government in managing the COVID 19 (coronavirus) pandemic in an attempt to control its spread in the community. The well-being of our guests, staff and contractors is our highest priority to ensure the wellbeing and health and safety of the wider community. As a result, from today 18th March 2020 we will no longer be able to honour bookings of new guests in the immediate future and will be postponing existing bookings until after 15th April 2020 at this stage, This will be reviewed weekly and should the need to alter this date arise we will communicate as such. These postponements will stay in place until such times as the Australian Government determines it is safe to lift restrictions and we can return to our normal operations. We understand that this can be an anxious time for everyone in our Community as none of us have ever seen this situation before not only locally but all around the World at this time. We would ask our current and future guests to look out for each other, particular each other’s social well-being at this time and hope to see you all at the Mallee Inn after this health emergency is controlled. Thank you for your understanding as we negate this current situation.
