19.01.2022 If you or any of your household contacts were in Adelaide last Sun 22 November please check this list, it includes several popular shopping locations. If you are required to get tested please do so ASAP. We can do this out in your car, and you must isolate till you receive the results - please do not go out in the community including our clinic. This includes all members of your household. Due to the increased risk posed to our community, it is now required that all clients w...ear a mask into our clinic, unless there is a medical reason for you not to do so. Thanks for helping to protect our community. Please call our office tomorrow if you have any questions. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3705165396212662&id=205615536167683

18.01.2022 This post is my personal thanks to everyone who has supported me both professionally and personally over these past few trying months. I've had difficulty with containing my emotions throughout this year's extraordinary events that we all have been living in. Like everyone else I’m sure, I have been stressed, sleep deprived and just plain overwhelmed. To say that I am blessed and gifted with a supportive team & network (both external and internal), is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Wh...ile we continue to desperately deal with changes almost daily and try to adapt as best we can, I am continually amazed by others with their generosity of spirit. My deepest compassion goes out to all of you that are currently struggling and fighting through to ensure that the health and well-being of you and your families are met, I applaud you for your continuous strengths, patience and the ability to keep going during this difficult time. I have the most wonderful husband who has basically kept the home fires burning whilst I work and come home exhausted with little left for him. Our MBHC team are ........well how do you describe the people who have held all the balls in the air without dropping a one - yes an amazing team. To you our patients who continually support us and spoil us with treats when the going gets tough - you are the best!! I must also thank those wonderful people who have been unfailing in their support like Ali Cupper & Anne Webster, and the ACNP who have through persistence been able to make such a huge difference for some and continue to fight for all of us. No doubt there will be yet more changes and hoops for us to jump through in the coming months, but we will try out best to continually adapt. Please accept this as my personal heart felt thanks for helping me to continue doing a job I love doing. See more

17.01.2022 It was great to meet Anne in person today. Anne has enabled some very important health exemptions that we were struggling to get without Anne’s help. Thank you Anne, it’s great to know we have you in our corner x

12.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL. MAY YOUR DAY BE SAFE AND FILLED WITH LOVE

10.01.2022 We are devastated to announce that Di has been refused an exemption to continue practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in South Australia. This will mean that Thursday 20th August will be the last day of regular services at the Pinnaroo clinic. Some services from SA practitioners will still be available and we will advise you of this as soon as we can. Murrayville and Underbool will continue as normal. If you are as angry and disappointed as us with this decision to reduce health... services to a South Australian rural community at a time of increased mental and physical health need, PLEASE PLEASE bombard our local SA politicians with emails about how this will affect you. This is our time of need and WE NEED YOU!! Email [email protected] and [email protected] and [email protected] and [email protected] Adrian Pederick has been made very aware of this issue but so far no help! Make sure you say an SA community in his electorate is affected!! If anyone would like a letter template to help with this please pm on messenger, or text Katharine on 0427868326 with your email and we will send you one. See more

10.01.2022 Just for clarification, SA pathology are now conducting Covid testing at our request so we can get back to our original service. While we are taking the bookings and providing them a space at the back of our Pinnaroo clinic, we aren’t actually physically conducting the tests anymore unless REALLY necessary as we would prefer to use our time attending to your other healthcare needs. Hope this clarifies a few questions we have been getting.

03.01.2022 Please stay COVID SAFE! It is wonderful news that regional Victoria has opened for some travel. Being able to get out of our immediate area will lift our spirits and do wonders for our mental health. However, this travel does come with some responsibility, let’s keep our virus numbers at zero! While travelling remember to hand wash or sanitize regularly and keep your social distance! ... On return home, monitor for symptoms, and if you even have mild symptoms, get tested. Both Murrayville and Pinnaroo clinics are open for Symptomatic testing just phone ahead to let us know you have symptoms and you will be tested in the car park. We also ask that you let us know before your appointment at MBHC if you, or any of your close contacts, have travelled outside the Mildura Rural City Council area so we can take extra precautions. If you, or any of your close contacts, have entered Melbourne or Sydney in the prior 2 weeks we ask you not to attend the clinic, however phone and telehealth appointments are still an option. Thank you so much for your understanding! See more

03.01.2022 Mallee Border Health Centre will still be operating in Pinnaroo as per our previous advice -our service is not locked out of SA by VIC recent announcements.

03.01.2022 || SUPPORT PATIENT CHOICE || In the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, we are so disappointed and astounded by the extension to the Collaborative ...Arrangement for Nurse Practitioners for a further 2 years. "Here we are, trying to help with the response, yet we are needing to divert attention and fight this yet again. This is not good enough for our patients. The Collaborative Arrangements for Nurse Practitioners are solely related to the right of the patient to claim a MBS rebate, or receive a PBS subsidy, thereby penalising the patient for their choice to see a Nurse Practitioner, with the most disadvantaged of our community members left most vulnerable. This does not protect the patient’s right to choose." Please share this post and help to support patient choice. 03.01.2022 I am a Loxton farmer’s wife with friends and family impacted by SA’s most recent Vic border restrictions. I follow closely the @Cross Border Call Out facebook p...age, please consider signing the petition to support these communities. I believe we can both look after our health, seeking to prevent COVID infections AND be compassionate and understanding of unique local contexts.
