20.01.2022 It is with many heavy hearts that we at Mallee Park Football Club have decided to abstain ourselves from participating in the 2020 Port Lincoln Football League season. We know that First Nations people are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 due to higher incidence of chronic health conditions, including diabetes, renal disease & respiratory issues, additionally the living conditions & social connectedness of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples can make transmission m...ore likely, so following extensive discussions between our senior health professionals from our local Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service, our senior players and our Board of Management, it has been decided that due to the current pandemic situation, we have chosen to keep our players safe, and in keeping our players safe, we keep our families safe, our elders safe & our community safe. We will however be putting all of our energy and time into emphasizing the importance of keeping our young ones active & positively involved within our community, so our juniors will continue to participate in football within our local league. A special meeting will be held on Monday 15th June 2020 at 5pm at Mallee Park Football Club along with members of the Port Lincoln Football League and other participating club officials in Port Lincoln to arrange their involvement within the other clubs for the 2020 season. We hope this 2020 season will give everyone within our club the time they need to take care of their families, and continue to keep themselves healthy & safe, and we all look forward to a fresh start, coming back to reunite with an all consuming desire to succeed & to also celebrate our 40th Year Anniversary in the 2021 season.

16.01.2022 Parents if your child is still keen to play football this season Tasman FC have informed us that they are short for numbers in under 11s, under 13s and our juniors are more than welcome to play. Training is at Ravendale Oval at 4:30-5:30 on Tues and Thursday. Don't forget all MPFC players still need to register with us and there will be a $10 SANFL fee. Any questions about registrations, just inbox us.

14.01.2022 We would like to extend a big thank you Clifford Warrior for his dedication to the senior coaching role at the start of what turned out to be a very challenging year and due to the uncertainty of the Coronavirus pandemic it was decided to withdrawal from the 2020 season. We understand that next season will be tough. We recognise that there will be COVID restrictions to which we will need all hands on deck and together we are committed to be back to our best for what will be our 40th year.

Port Lincoln Football League has advised us that all senior/junior players who wish to play this season can do so under a special Type 2 COVID Permit. This Permit is temporary and allows for players to play for another club for this season only. All players must first be registered for their home club (Mallee Park) then the other club can apply for the Type 2 COVID Permit. Feel free to inbox us for more details or if you have any problems with registrations.

09.01.2022 Just a reminder: If anyone is keen a few senior players will be at the club on Wednesdays for a bit of a run from 5:30pm. Weather permitted.
