24.01.2022 We pride ourselves on hosting the best of Victoria's producers at our market. One of our most delightful is Elizabeth from @romagna29 who makes simply exquisite paneforte. These are one of those treats that just has to be tasted to be believed. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions there are no taste samples available at the market. So you'll just have to take our word for it and take some home this month! In Elizabeth's words:... "Our paneforte is unforgettable, made and wrapped entirely by hand with an age old family recipe. Fine cheese and your choice of a luscious liqueur, good coffee or aromatic tea will accompany our Italian specialty perfectly." 14.01.2022 We're proud to partner with Sustainable Malmsbury which is part of MRSG - Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group to bring TerraCycle Australia hard-to-recycle station to our market. Bring your old clean and dry oral care stuff (toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes), writing implements (pens etc), disposable razors and contact lenses and they can be saved from landfill and turned into new items. Win-win!

13.01.2022 + = Get it? Yep, we need to take your contact details* at the front gate of the market this month. We've put together a nifty contactless system so all you need is the camera on your phone. ... We'll have a paper and pen system for those without suitable phones. Once you have your contact details checked and hands sanitised you will be free to enter the market. ENTRY VIA THE FRONT GATE ONLY We hope this system will be nice and quick but please be patient and kind to our volunteers. Remember: Wear a well fitted mask, wash and sanitise your hands, shop + leave, and most importantly - if you're feeling unwell stay home. *We take your privacy very seriously. 11.01.2022 THANKS MEGGS Last year when the Malmsbury Town Hall Committee decided that it was time Malmsbury had its very own farmers market, we turned to Meggs to help get us up and going. Meggs is a pro at the farmers market scene and before we could say "locally grown produce" we had our own market filling the Village Green with delightful people selling delicious food they'd grown or made themselves.... The time has come for Meggs to turn to greener pastures as she has decided to focus on her own farm and lovely family. We are deeply grateful for all the wonderful work Meggs has done to get us to this point. The Malmsbury Farmers market is only a year old yet it is so firmly entrenched into the fabric of our local life it feels like we've had it forever. Malmsbury is such a great little town but the market has brought us together as a community in such a wonderful way. Meggs, we are deeply grateful for the fabulous job you have done. You have left us a very fertile garden to continue to grow our local resilience.
