25.01.2022 HOT IN PARIS RETURNS IN STYLE What a pleasing way to round out 2021 with a 1st-up win by Hot In Paris, another lovely mare in the Bennett Racing colours. She was given such a nice ride in transit by Dan Stackhouse, who quickly had her one out, one back from a wide gate. This gave the daighter of Sizzling every possible hope and she kept coming to run down the leader near the line. ... We expect her to come on heaps from that return and there is no reason she cant pick off a race at The Valley one Friday night soon. Congratulations to all involved and be sure to get in touch with Nathan Bennett in the next few days if you'd like to be part of any of his Magic 's purchases. On behalf of the entire Malua Team, Id like to wish you a safe and happy New Year with many winners coming your way in 2021!!!

25.01.2022 So good to have owners back at the races! Here’s some happy connections of Zou Dancer.

25.01.2022 WHOOSHKA Succeed Indeed is Oaks-bound after her scintillating last to first victory at Sandown today. Unfortunately her regular rider, Dwayne Dunn was unable to be on board after that awful incident but a son of another gun, Lachie King rode the filly perfectly. ... He settled the 3yo back at the tail of the field and let her find her groove. On the corner he eased the chestnut to the outside and she made up plenty of ground under her own steam. After they came through Corrigan Dip, Lachie pressed the "GO" button and the daughter of Akeed Mofeed went into overdrive. She rounded the rest of them up like they were standing still and went to the line with her ears pricked. Her sire never won further than 2000m and she's out of a Ferocity mare but we have little doubt, she can get out over a trip. Stayers with a turn of foot win the big races and she will no doubt headed to them. Succeed Indeed is raced by a great group headed by Dr. Adam Gay. He is a big advocate of heart scan score and this girl rated off the charts! Bring on The Oaks!

25.01.2022 Some of Swats That’s owners enjoyed it!!!

25.01.2022 ALL TOO TERRIFIC MAKES IT 5 IN 9 DAYS Our great run continues after a successful Spring Carnival with another winner today making it 5 winners, 4 placings from our last 14 runners. Today it was All Too Terrific's turn at Benalla. With the daughter of All Too Hard at the crossroads, it was pretty much D Day but we were confident about her chances. Her form was much better than it read on paper, she had been working well and there were no Tralee Rose's in this.... Dan Stackhouse had the job on her today and he kept his end of the bargain. She was put into a lovely spot midfield and looked the only horse you wanted to be on a long way from home. In the end it was a pretty easy watch with her winning by 2L which could have been more. We plan to get All Too Terrific out to 2000m now a trip we feel she will love. Congratulations to a great bunch of owners who have had their patience rewarded. Among them The Bresnans long time supporters of ours as well as Scott Agresta, son of the legend, Joe. She races in News Style Racing's colours.

24.01.2022 We cant get enough of this story! A great read... https://www.racing.com//2/news-loyalty-pays-off-for-pagan

24.01.2022 BORIS GOES BOOM After a frustrating run of three 2nds from his first five starts, Boom Boom Becker is making a habit of winning now, having notched up victories at start 6 and 7. Today it was at Echuca where the big boy was able to bring up his 2nd success. He jumped smartly and jockey John Allen was able to dictate the pace then used the corner to kick clear. For a few strides it looked like a bolter might drop to spoil the day, however Johnny shook Boris up and he maint...ained a safe margin to the line. It was great to see him continue in this vein after scoring a soft Maiden win last start. We have resisted the tempatation of throwing him in the deep end, rather just concentrated on keeping him winning through the grades. His time in town will come through the Summer!

23.01.2022 Pagan Has A New King! It was commonly referred to as Pagan's Paddock - the tactic to open-up space for Wayne Carey to compete one out, while the crumbers swooped to take the ones he couldnt clunk. That strategy built Carey to "King" status and also was a major reason The Kangaroos won 2 Premiership with Denis at the helm. Today, Denis unearthed a new KING in a different paddock. Lachie King... the son-of-a-gun who rode Helenus for us to win the same race almost 20 years... ago. People may have questioned the decision to put the inexperienced Lachie on to pilot Johnny Get Angry in such a big race, but Denis isnt here to win popularity contests, rather showed full faith in the Apprentice who had been there every step of the way. Lachie repaid that faith with a superb and mature ride which which resulted in victory. A hard worker, Lachie is also on hand at Malua to ride mornings and it is just so satisfying to see him come away with the spoils! Congratulations Lachie and you can be excused if you turn up a little late tomorrow!

23.01.2022 Craig Williams - Jockey sporting our special Festive Season colours at the trials this morning.

23.01.2022 Not many more consistent racehorses around. #warhorse

23.01.2022 So good to see the BIg Friendly Giant getting looked after so well!

23.01.2022 How's this for a bit of insight... Troy and Denis talking about Johnny back in May just after he won a trial at Werribee!

23.01.2022 Come join the winning Team! At the moment we have some great positions available in various roles at Flemington and Geelong. Complete this quick form and tell us what you can do.... https://www.maluaracing.com.au/job-enquiry

22.01.2022 We're excited to have 2 strong chances in the Gr1 Coolmore this Saturday!!!

22.01.2022 We were super proud of our girl, Swats That running a brave 2nd in the Gr1 Coolmore. She did a brilliant job but just bumped into a better one on the day. No doubt the pair of fillies will have some big stoushes in the future! Unfortunately Ranting's chances were blown at the start when he copped a squeeze and was spat out the back. Cant wait to get both of these sprinters back as late 3yos!!!

22.01.2022 10 Years Of Blood, Sweat, Tears And Oats. Im chuffed to announce that last week, Malua reached a major milestone... our 10th Anniversary. I thought I'd reflect on what has been a decade of ups and downs, disappointments and celebrations which have got us to this juncture. I'll touch on some of our well performed horses of the past, present and future but before I do, I just want to say how proud I am of The Astrologist....Continue reading

22.01.2022 Well worth it!!!

21.01.2022 We trained this bloke to a Gr1 and now he’s winning top prizes in his 2nd life. Wonderfully cared for by our former team member, Amy!!

21.01.2022 We were very proud of our boys at Caulfield today. Runson toughed it out gamely for 2nd in the Testa Rossa Stks on an unfavourable Soft track. Then Morrissy showed plenty of intestinal fortitude to run 3rd in the following race.

20.01.2022 How's this colt! Lot 459 is another fine specimen coming home with us from Magic Millions. He's by one of the most influential speed Sires ever, Exceed And Excel out of a 3 x winning mare who has produced, 7 to race for 6 winners, including sire, Stryker, making our boy a 3/4 brother to it. This is such a dynamic pedigree, it barely makes it to the 2nd Dam on the page!... If you're keen to get involved, or for more info, get in touch with Rohan Aujard on 0457 876 956

20.01.2022 Craig Williams does get a bit of air time on our page but deservedly so. Apart from riding lots of winners for us, check out what he provides after he trials one. Here he is on Yes Baby Yes having a quiet time yesterday.

19.01.2022 LICCIARDI SHOWS WHO'S BOSS She debuted with a 3rd, followed it up with a 2nd and now the pattern is complete after promising 3yo, Licciardi made her rivals "disappear" at Mornington today. Cleverly named after Maria Licciardi, head of the notorious crime clan in Naples, the Street Boss filly offset her awkward draw by jumping nicely and stalking the pacemaker, Suprina. She ambled up to it and said "ciao" racing clear in the straight to score an emphatic victory, givin...g Lachie King a nice easy time of things. Dean Harvey of Baystone Farm owns a major share in this girl but there have been a couple of lucky owners who managed to buy in as late as 3 weeks ago, who would be on pretty good terms with themselves now. She is a quality filly and as tough as her namesake, so stick with her as she progresses through the grades!

19.01.2022 Exciting to have our 4th @magicmillions horse arrive tonight for @maluaracing . Stable fave Morrissy for @shanepmorrissy @rmorrissy appears in great shape after his trip up today . Bring on Sat week !!

18.01.2022 Ranting, no longer the best maiden in the land but a Blue Sapphire winner! @racingphotos

18.01.2022 MAID OF IRON SIZZLES HOME ON DEBUT It didnt take long to find the next winner for Bennett Racing, this time it was debutante Maid Of Iron who looked the goods at Geelong Racing Club The daughter of Dundeel settled back in the field but really motored once they cornered. She showed a terrifc turn of foot once they flattened out and like a shot out of a canon, gobbled up the leaders in a few strides. One of those being Alfoil, our other runner in the race who though on th...e immature side, did a fantastic job at hos first race start. Maid Of Iron is a magnificent looking filly purchased at Magic Millions in 2019. She is out of a mare who won over 2000m so being by Dundeel you'd think this girl looks a real Autumn Oaks possibility. How good are Bennt Racing going. Make sure the next time you get offered a horse they're syndicating you consider it very seriously. Nathan has a fantastic strike rate!!

17.01.2022 STARS ALIGN FOR THE ASTROLOGIST Getting a winner for Bennett Racing is always satisfying but to land one at Geelong on Cup day for the Bellarine based syndicator is extra special. Smart galloper The Astrologist made that happen today. First-up today for us after crossing from the McEvoy yard, the big boy put his rivals away with consumate ease and looks set to go on with it this campaign.... He was a touch awkward into stride but Craig Williams pressed on to have the son of Zoustar sitting behind the leader. When the field bunched on the corner, he put the 4yo into the action and once they straightened the big loping action came into effect. The Astrologist came clear to score an emphatic win. Hopefully we can make it a perfect day with Goldifox running for the team in the aptly named Bennett Racing Black Pearl Stakes, a Listed affair, later in the day.

17.01.2022 "I think by the time we get to the grand final up on the Gold Coast he’ll be peaking." Super-consistent sprinter The Astrologist is looking to secure his spot on the Gold Coast with a win in Saturday’s Magic Millions 3&4YO Classic at Ballarat. https://bit.ly/38P2z2R

17.01.2022 FIRST DAY OF SPRING WINNER It's no secret the last couple of weeks have been more than frustrating with countless placings so we were pleased to break the hoodoo on the first day of Spring with our talented Stakes placed mare, Look Sharpish. After a disappointing return in the heavy going at Sandown the 4yo appreciated the firmer footing today at Benalla. Despite being forced to do it tough in the run from the awkward alley, she finished powerfully and that was against a le...ader bias. The daughter of Pins, a lovely grey mare, needed to step up today to frank the opinion we have of her and she definitely looked the goods. She will head back to town now to see where she can get to in bigger races. These happy owners definitely have something to look forward to thois Spring: Mr P R Fielding, Mr G W Fielding, Triton Lennox, Mr N Frangoulis, Mr G Hinton, Mr M Heading, Mrs J M Smith, Mr L A Smith, Mr D R Prior, Mrs L M Sullivan, Mr P P Griffin, Mrs E Griffin, Major Racing, Mr J T Driscoll, Mr M G Nunan, Eating Banana's ... and we're wrapt for them!

17.01.2022 Another Sebring joins us from the Magic Millions... This one, Lot 538, a stunning filly out of a speed mare who has produced 2 winners from 3 to race so far. Her Dam is a 3/4 sister to A Time For Julia, Almighty Girl and Time Thief making her closely related to PERSONAL! If you're keen to get involved, or for more info, get in touch with Rohan Aujard on 0457 876 956

16.01.2022 TITAN RUNS ANOTHER BLINDER We headed to the Ballarat Cup meeting today confident both our runners would perform very well and it was almost a perfect afternoon. Unfortunately The Astrologist got a fraction further back then we had hoped and was set a task. He still rattled home but ran out of ground, finishing 2nd. Then it was the machine Titan Blinders' turn in the last. The big fella jumped to the front as usual and was put into a beautiful rhythm by Johnny Allen. He lo...oked the winner a long way out when he was the only horse travelling, while his rivals were all off the bit trying to make an impression. Johnny flicked the reins and that's all she wrote. Titan Blinders has now won 2 in a row and we couldnt be happier for him and owner Ozzie Kheir. It certainly makes up for the frustrating run of successive placings recently, 8 in fact... Full credit to our man Eddie Cassar who does so much good aboard him in his work. He relaxes beautifully for Eddie and brings that to race days. Also deserving of a special mention is ou hard working team up at Bangtail. Titan had been up there getting a nice freshen after his last victory and they made sure he was very well looked after. That win takes Titan Blinders' prizemoney to over $360k with 6 wins from his 25 starts, 13 of those placings! It also puts us back in the Top 10 of the Metro Trainer's Premiership. Earlier in the day, similarly at Tatura we had a first and 2nd from the 2 runners we took there. Krispy Kev opened his account while Land Of The Brave found a way to get beaten.

16.01.2022 Everything you wanted to know and more about the Corstens boys! https://www.youtube.com/watch

16.01.2022 1st UP SUCCESS for ZOU DANCER Our fantastic association with Bennett Racing continues with another lovely 3yo winning at her first start for us. Zou Dancer scored a neat victory at the time-honoured Dunkeld Cup meeting. Unfortunately there was no massive crowd there as is usally the case at the picturesque racecourse.... She had to overcome the wide gate but had the speed to do it. Although not able to find the fence, she had the leader in her sights and it was just a matter of reeling it in. Under the guidance of Gr1 winning Apprentice, Lachie King, she strode clear once she kicked in to gear and knocked off her Maiden with minimum fuss. We look forward to seeing yet another runner in the orange and black progress to bigger and better things!

15.01.2022 The Astrologist Gets The Gold After two frustrating 2nds, Bennett Racing's The Astrologist is back where he belongs, on top, after taking out the lucrative VOBIS Gold Bullion on Pakenham Cup Day today. The plan was to be positive out of the machine and shortly after the jump he was taken to the front by Craig Williams - Jockey who rated him nicely in the lead. ... The 4yo was looking vulnerable in the straight when Wild Vixen who had the soft run, peeled off heels to launch her attack. Our boy was up for the stoush and kept lengthening his neck as the pair drew towards the line with him getting the verdict in a photo. It was a tough win. Especially considering the Zoustar gelding is still a prep at least from being the finished product. He still does a bit wrong but has so much talent and a real desire to win. We cant speak highly enough about the Bennett Racing Team. If you're ever in the market to get into a horse which will have every chance even before it gets to a Stable, then they are definitely worth getting in touch with. The Astrologist will niw target the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast in January.

15.01.2022 ZOU LEADS A MERRY DANCE AT HEADQUARTERS Exciting filly Zou Dancer has made an enormous transition coming off a Maiden win at Dunkeld 2 starts ago to saluting in dominant style at Flemington this afternoon. The 3yo had been quite immature to date so we were waiting for the penny to drop and today it didn’t just drop, it landed with a thud as she looked super professional giving nothing else a chance in the 1400m race. ... After a luckless run at The Valley last start, the Zoustar youngster was right in the market starting 2nd fav and with Johnny Allen in the saddle she was able to be up on the pace making her own luck. Johnny had her running 2nd, controlling things outside the leader in an even tempo. When he flicked the reins at the Clocktower there was plenty left in the tank and she lowered like a good horse and gave a strong kick. Despite the race favourite, Sensationalisation giving chase, she couldnt make an impression with our girl full of running and still very strong through the line. We are building a super relationship with Nathan Bennett and his fantastic Syndication company as the winners keep on coming. Congratulations to him and his clients who are sure to have a lot of fun with this girl into 2021 and beyond!

15.01.2022 SWEET WIN FOR KAROLINA You'd struggle to find a prettier filly going around than Sweet Karolina and she just became even more attractive winning her long overdue Maiden today, giving us a Double at Geelong. The chestnut with the flaxen mane and like her Dad, Starspangledbanner, 3 white socks, found the 1700m race on her home deck perfect. She did a great job to win the race coming from behind in a pretty slowly run affair. ... It was another victory for the airborne Apprentice Lachie King who has ridden our last 4 winners as well as Johnny Get Angry for Denis in the Vic Derby. Sweet Karolina is out of a mile and half winner in Europe so you'd think the further she gets the better she will be. She has a half brother at home by our Gr1 star, Awesome Rock. Look out Bluejack in the future! Congratulations to Wayne and Denise Birch who bred this girl!

14.01.2022 It's been a string of placings, horror draws and luckless runs of late so Troy thought he would sneak out to the Holy Land and ask anyone listening up there for a change of fortune! Hopefully we've used up all the bad luck in Winter and Spring will be good to us.

13.01.2022 RANTING'S GR.3 IN 3 HORSE THRILLER Ranting, the colt with the superstar looks, is a Maiden no longer after scoring his first career win in the Gr3 Catanach Blue Sapphire at Caulfield this afternoon. He took on and beat the spruik horse Anders and the classy Hanseatic in the small field, a clash which will go down as one for the ages. Many anticipated it would be a fizzer with just the 3 Acceptors but it was far from. It turned out to be a very exciting affair with an...y of the 3 still a winning chance at various stages up the straight. In the end it was a tiny margin which decided first to third. Jockey Benny Melham was the one without the luck in the race astonishingly forced to sit 3 wide in the field of 3 but after having partnered the big boy twice prior, he knew what he had underneath him. His vigour, together with Ranting's massive engine, got the pair home in the last few strides. Apart from the $240k first prize, Ranting added some valuable Black Type to his already handy looking page, which has seen him place twice at Gr3 level before being runner-up to Doubtland in the Gr2 Danehill last start. Still that win eluded him but now he is a much deserved winner! Congratulations to a cracking group of owners too. all friends and no doubt wrpat to be in this lovely colt together. It's also a real thrill to finally win a Group race in the colours of prominent owner Rupert Legh. Hopefully the first of many! Ranting will head to Gr1 The Coolmore now a very strong chance. We also have the impressive Swats That engaged so we'll settle for a dead-heat!

12.01.2022 Here’s an OTT named Totolo. He raced for Brad Spicer and partners before heading to his next trainer. He’s now 12 and loving his new life with his now owner Taylah Clark. Talented bugger.

12.01.2022 Winner, Winner, LOBSTER NOODLES Dinner! Our girl Lobster Noodles is a winner again after scoring a tough victory at Wodonga Race Course this afternoon. She staved off a late challenge from Single Crown who headed her, but the gutsy mare wasnt having a bar of it and kicked back to score. Lachie King summed things up perfectly early after she jumped away nicely. He decided to have her closer than normal with the prevalent on-pace bias and took a stalking position behind the ...leader. "Lobby" quickly surged to the front and established a break until Single Crown emerged and looked like going past her. Lachie gave her a little bit of urging and she responded well, regaining the lead and holding a margin on the line. Lobster Noodles was bred by Dr. Adam Gay who also has the talented Succeed Indeed and Swats That with us with a group of his friends and family. Next time you visit him to get your heart checked and he offers you a share in a horse, it might be prudent to take him up on the offer!

11.01.2022 Morrissy getting his modelling on. Pin-up boy for the All Star Mile advertising.

11.01.2022 A very interesting read... https://www.theage.com.au//it-s-not-the-track-focus-on-int

11.01.2022 TITAN BLINDERS BOUNCES BACK IN BOWL Ultra consistent Titan Blinders has put a frustrating string of placings behind him to return a winner taking out the $80,000 Ararat Bowl this afternoon. Having been runner up at six of his last eight (7 in town)with the other two 3rds, the All Too Hard gelding was well overdue. ... This race presented itself as the ideal assignment and he went there with a point to prove and he came away making a bold statement. Partnered by Vic Derby winning jockey Lachie King, Titan Blinders was allowed to lead comfortably and once he was able find his rhythm, without being pestered, it was game over. Lachie shook him up a little and the 5yo dashed away to score with plenty in reserve. It was another victory for prominent owner Ozzie Kheir who has taken much before him over the Spring Carnival, including the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate. Titan Blinders has won almost $300,000 in prizemoney to date with 5 wins and 13 placings from his 24 starts.

11.01.2022 Ranting and Dom. Stunning. Raquel Bennet

11.01.2022 A very interesting article, definitely worth a read! https://www.tdnausnz.com.au//swats-an-affair-of-the-heart-

10.01.2022 For those of you who like a quick bang for your buck , here is the girl for you . She won her trial easily the other day and is off to the races any day now . 10.01.2022 Johnny Get Angry's Derby victory makes it a staggering 12 individual Group One winners Troy has selected and purchased. There aren't many better judges in the game. Next time you get offered a share in a horse he loves, it might be prudent to take him up on it!

10.01.2022 After a frustrating run of placings in town it’s great to see the interviews like this again. We are back in the Top 10 of the Metro Trainers Premiership and don’t plan on dropping out any time soon!! https://www.facebook.com/1518981125002064/posts/2882521395314690/?vh=e&extid=0

09.01.2022 Celebrating 10 years in the pink, black n white!!

09.01.2022 On behalf of Leon and Troy and the entire team at Malua, have a Merry Christmas and fabulous holiday period. Make 2021 the one that counts!

09.01.2022 JOHNNY GET ANGRY How good is it to be Denis Pagan!!! Our close relationship with the dual winning AFL Premiership winning coach is well documented, so it's no surprise we are super excited for this amazing feat he has pulled off!... Talk about living the dream! Most people just want a runner in The Derby but he's trained his own horse to win! Denis put his money where his mouth is and followed his heart to pursue his next passion after twice achieving the ultimate prize in AFL. He got together with Troy and the pair went in search of a couple of quality horses. Troy loved this outstanding type by Tavistock and pursued it. A little while down the track, Troy encouraged Denis to take out his own Trainer's Licence since he was out there in the coalface every morning alongside Troy so so he secured his "Restricted" Licence and began to prepare his small team from Malua. The rest is history and unlikely to ever be repeated.

08.01.2022 Anyone want a runner in the $500,000 Inglis Banner at The Valley on Saturday?

07.01.2022 Unfortunately a few weeks ago Mick and the whole Dollard family receive some terrible news. Mick was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Mick has been a great client but more importantly a fantastic friend to the whole Malua team. Pre-Covid he regularly visited the Flemington stable and ran our tipping competition for footy and our sweep for the Melbourne Cup. Mick has owned shares in horses with us for the last 15 years. Today his horse went to visit Mick because Mick couldn’t visit him!

07.01.2022 GOLDIFOX BACK IN TOWN Goldifox scored another Metro win today and showed she is a force to be reckoned with in some of the decent Spring races ahead. In unfamiliar territory up on the pace, she was given a lovely ride by Craig Williams - Jockey, following the favourite, Special Snap which led. It kicked strongly and looked the winner half way up the running, but Willo wasnt having a bar of it. ... He brought Goldifox off its heels, levelled up and drove her clear of the Godolphin runner over the concluding stages. She had just under half a length on it when they hit the line with a further 4L back to 3rd. It was a another victory for big supporters of ours Bennett Racing with their mare, her 3rd in 20 starts. Stakes placed and a winner at Flemington already, another city win adds to her already decent value after racing!

07.01.2022 GROUP 2 YES BABY Yes Baby Yes put on a clinic to win the Gr2 $300k Lexus Fillies Classic at Moonee Valley Racing Club today. The 3yo was given an absolute Craig Williams - Jockey Special. he summed things up quickly and managed to dictate the race in front. The pair broke the hearts of those chasing, racing clear to score the simplest of victories. ... This tough girl has been up for so long, but has really benefitted from the trips to Bangtail, our magnificent farm in Northern Vic where our horses get a chance to freshen up and relish the environment. She went into this race in magnificent order and ran accordingly. Yes Baby Yes, a daughter of Dissident, was bred by Royston and Treen Murphy at there magnificent Sledmere Stud. There's little half sister coming through by Shooting To Win called, you guessed it... NO BABY NO! Congratulations to the Ownership group who have believed in this horse especially after a very disappointing trip to Adelaide earlier in her career. They now own a valuable young filly with earnings just shy of $250k after just 9 starts!

06.01.2022 Glad we could do our bit getting The Astrologist home in the last leg. He would have been sweating bullets!!!!

06.01.2022 The sister of our Geelong team member Emily Forrest, Abbey Forrest, 19, Inda Sohal, 28, and their three-week-old baby daughter Ivy were found dead inside their Point Cook townhouse after a ferocious fire ripped through their home. We cannot begin to imagine how she is feeling right now. Emily is raising money to help with the cost of funerals and memorials for all 3 of these beautiful souls who had their lives tragically cut short. Any help is greatly appreciated. 05.01.2022 Great to have this boy back in the place... lucky we pulled him out of the paddock... he put on 35kg in 2 weeks!

04.01.2022 Here's another lovely purchase by Bennett Racing kindly given to us to train. Lot 567, a humdinger of a filly by the all-conquering Written Tycoon. 04.01.2022 $1000 for this hug... but worth it!

04.01.2022 She Went BAM It was great to see our girl Wegobam launch her prep with a brave Maiden victory at Sale today. Heavily supported in the Market, Wegobam resumed from a spell with a couple of placings from as many starts at her first prep, the latest a handy placing in Town. ... The win wasnt without drama though, the 3yo had to pick herself up after almost getting flattened at the 150m mark. Jockey Jye McNeil helped her regain composure, she lowered into another gear and stuck her head out where it counted. She held off a wall of horses chasing her down but her class kicked in when it counted. It was a gutsy victory from the lightly framed filly, a daughter of Sebring. Half the battle we have with her is to keep weight on her but thankfully she has benefitted from the lush pasture up at Bangtail. It was another happy result for The Morrissys who also have their namesake running at Caulfield on Saturday. He should be a decent each way hope!

03.01.2022 WHAT'S THAT? IT'S SWATS THAT Exciting filly, Swats That has made a mess of her rivals, easily winning the Gr3 Scarborough Stks at Moonee Valley Racing Club tonight. After being forced to sit 3 wide, mostly with no cover, she was breathing down the leader's necks on the corner. Once she balanced up Johnny Allen shook her up and sit was over in a few strides. The chestnut raced clear leaving Highly Discreet and Dirty Thoughts in her wake!... This was only the 4th outing for the daughter of Shamus Award. She won the Gold Rush on debut then was beaten by the Heavy track in Sydney and sent for a break. Resuming at Flemington she just missed in the Cap D'Antibes and her work since gave us every reason to believe she would win tonight. She is raced by close friends of Troy's including Dr Adam Gay and Dr. Alvin Cham and a host of others. It was a nice 50th Birthday present for Rosemont Stud co-owner Nigel Austin who stands Shamus Award in conjunction with Ultra Thoroughbreds. Hopefully he can snatch a Gr1 later on with Brooklyn Hustle in the Moir! Incidentally, Swats That is a grandaughter of the mighty Let's Elope, a horse Leon had som much to do with in her illustrious career. She will now head to the Coolmore and with that turn of foot, should be extremely competitive! How good is Racing!

03.01.2022 KRISPY KEV DELIVERS The Rosemont Stud colours were successful once again, this time with Krispy Kev opening his account in fine fashion at Tatura. It had taken the son of Starspangledbanner 7 attempts which only yielded 4 placings to date but the addition of blinkers, a good gate and a nice front running ride by Dylan Dunn helped the 4yo strike up his Maiden victory. ... Congratulations to Rosemont and the team of owners who have stuck fat with this boy. Hopefully he can pick off a couple of races at The Valley over the summer. Later in the day we have The Astrologist looking very hard to beat at in the Magic Millions3 & 4yo Classic at Ballarat while Titan Blinders should give a good sight in the last!

03.01.2022 10 great years!!!

03.01.2022 Good stats! More than 50% of our runners in town finish top 3 too!!!

02.01.2022 Here is our beautiful girl, Mamzelle Tess doing some modelling for a great cause!

02.01.2022 Our very own Raquel put together this beautiful piece of our boy's morning after his outstanding win yesterday. Enjoy.

02.01.2022 In 2015 we took an unfashionably bred 3yo to the races for the first time, hopeful he could reproduce what he had shown us in his Trials. Not only he won, he broke the track record at Mornington, easily. That horse turned out to be Runson. In the 5 years to follow, the big boy went on to win 10 races, another track record in town and over half a million dollars in prizemoney, giving us and his lovely owners a phenomenal ride. He competed in elite company at probably a 3rd o...f his outings always giving his all. His exciting on-pace style always gave him a chance and us hope. He had been a tricky horse to manage with various issues, but after his disappointing run in the Carlyon Stks at The Valley something just wasnt right. A horse who gives his all every start just giving up like that isnt something we are used to seeing nor did we ever want to see again. We had a good chat to Janet and Pete his breeders and senior owners this morning and made the call to send him to a well deserved retirement. We love this horse and he will be missed around the place. It's fantastic to have his little (half) sister Runsis, who will keep the blood line going and we look forward to racing little Runsons in the future! Thank you very much to the great bunch of owners for letting us share this ride with you. Have a great retirement at Manner Lodge, Runny!

01.01.2022 Catherine Ford wins the internet today... Worth a run here especially for Sonney Roth of Antler Luggage Australia P/L one of our most loyal owners!!

01.01.2022 Yeah Baby!!! https://www.facebook.com/120467118051385/posts/3421657077932356/?vh=e&extid=0&d=n

01.01.2022 After a frustrating run of three 2nds from just 5 starts, Boom Boom Becker took out his Maiden in style today at Geelong Racecourse. The heavy track was no issue for the big boy, as he looked in control of the race a long way out. Johnny Allen kept him focussed as he crusied home to score an easy win, ears pricked. A son of Spirit Of Boom, he was purchased in conjunction with Brad Spicer at Magic Millions and co-syndicated between our clients and Spicer Thoroughbreds.... We have an exciting weekend of racing coming up kicking off at Tatura with a handful of genuine hopes. Then we're off to Moonee Valley Racing Club with 5 runners who all should perform well. On Saturday our attention turns to Turnbull Stakes Day with Umgawa debuting in the Maribyrnong Trial Stakes and Succeed Indeed and Yes Baby Yes tackling the Edward Manifold.

01.01.2022 What's next for Denis? It might be a perfect time to retire from horse training... or maybe there are more major wins in store since it seems to come "so easily"! Apparently there is a job going back at his old haunt in Arden St.... Maybe he will head down MEDIA STREET!
