24.01.2022 "But here’s my problem, and I suspect I might not be alone: my greatest desire is not always to image Jesus. Don’t get me wrong, I want to image Jesus. But I also want a job! I want to contribute, to make a difference, to feel useful; to have an identity, to feel worth something, to accomplish."

23.01.2022 Want some great cultural training? We'd highly recommend this one.

21.01.2022 We could all improve in this area.

17.01.2022 It’s NRL season! For many of you, you may groan at this thought. But in our house, it’s where the tipping board starts and the state colours are worn. As part of our preparation for this time, we each secretly google to find out the changes to the teams and coaches, get an update on injuries, and discover any rule and ground changes that may affect a game’s outcome. You see, if a team doesn’t play as a team but relies on just a couple of strong players or doesn’t follow the... coaches instructions, then no matter what their ability or skills are, they are not going to make it to the finals. Winning the ultimate prize is never gained by an individual’s performance but it’s won when all the team members keep focused on what they want to achieve and use each other’s abilities to get there. As I’ve started to prepare to win this season’s tipping again I’m reminded of Philippians 3:15-17. So, let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it. Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal.there is far more for us. Paul understood that this faith walk we are on is not an individual one. It’s a team. Together we support, we use our strengths when needed and let others use theirs when needed, we encourage each other to stay on track to our calling. Ministry can be lonely if we let it. Take the time this month to gather others in a similar ministry role to you and those in other ministries around you and experience the blessings that come from being in a team.

15.01.2022 Sadly our Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (Ethnic Stream) Graduation had to be cancelled this year due to COVID 19. But there are still many students out there still studying hard. Here is something we would suggest you don't try to make your assessment shorter :)

12.01.2022 Today is National Sorry Day. National Sorry Day came from one of the recommendations from the Bringing them Home Report released in 1997. Today is the day on th...e nation’s calendar where we remember the Stolen Generations. "And every morning as the sun came up the whole family would wail. They did that for 32 years until they saw me again. Who can imagine what a mother went through? But you have to learn to forgive." - Inscription at Colebrook Blackwood Reconciliation Park There was my Mother still down on her knees, the scene that I saw broke my heart as though somebody has pierced my heart with a sharp knife, Mother down on her knees and Granny frail old woman put her arms around her Daughter trying to comfort her both crying, tears streaking down my cheeks as we drove away, and that scene has remained with me as I was growing up, it was the last time I’ve seen them and they were never to be seen again. - Connie Cole

08.01.2022 Not everyone has been directly affected by CV19, but many are experiencing CV19 trauma. Janelle Tidey, our Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Studies Coordinator, challenges us to broaden our understanding of trauma during this time. If you're having trouble understanding this type of effect, there is a link in the comments where you can listen to the effect it's having on one person.

05.01.2022 As we kick off National Suicide Prevention Week, I want you to hear from my good friend, Dan Adams, from Sources of Strength. Sources of Strength’s upstream app...roach to suicide prevention is based on hope, help, strength, not sad, shock, trauma. Whether you are struggling yourself, or are a parent, teacher, youth leader, or loving friend, there is something meaningful for you in this positive and honest conversation. #KeepGoing #SuicidePrevention #SuicidePreventionWeek #BeWellOC See more

03.01.2022 I have little doubt all those in ministry are feeling this way today.
