22.01.2022 This post has nothing to do really with business - but since my business is about caring about people - here goes. A few days ago , I picked my granddaughter - a nearly 4 year old beauty up from daycare. In the parking lot , there was a massive puddle left by the downpour we just had. Her eyes lit up as did her feet - I told her to stop immediately - do not run in to that puddle! She asked why gramma? I gave her all the reasons - your feet will get wet- it’s cold - you...’ll get sick. It sounded reasonable to me. She then asked me - Gramma , why do you hate the rain? I assured her I did not hate the rain I just didn’t want her to get wet. She then said Gramma- you gotta love the rain - you just gotta! . As I often do - I stopped and looked at her - her whole face was just lit up. She stepped away from the puddle and got in the car. Those moments have ran through my head again and again. I have people in my life that seem to be experiencing downpours of their own in the last few months. I can’t stop that but what I’d like to say is - if you need someone to dance in the rain - I’ll be here for you. You are strong - you have so many good things to offer to so many people - your value is endless and your power to overcome is Heavenly. Don’t let people or circumstances hold you back and tell you to stop immediately ! Above all of the clouds - there is a beautiful blue sky - but until the time comes when that blue sky appears again - you gotta love the rain - you just gotta . 19.01.2022 Hey Guys - probably something you did not know about me (you might have suspected) but I am obsessed with bringing you THE best food I can possibly make. For the most part - I stay as true to the recipes that I grew up with (varying here and there.) Let's talk Banana Cream Pie - over the last year, I have literally brought you over 30 variations of the custard that I make for the pie each week. Those that work with me know, that I am forever changing this or that just to g...et a texture - then taste- then structure I want. I thank you all for your patience in my quest for perfection. Ladies and Gentlemen - I believe the Banana Cream Pie train has arrived at the station !!! This week's is genuinely the best I've ever done and is finally what I have wanted it to be. The pie is still made the same way but I've taken the weight down a little to bring it in line with the other desserts ( it was previously 470 grams to the 275 grams of the rest of the desserts) - I was getting many customers saying it was just too big. I listened to that and while still a great value - it's a little less worry for the waistline. Please grab one this week if you are looking for a pretty special treat for yourself or someone you love...or like.....or mildly like....or don't know.....it doesn't really matter.....I'm just so excited and happy with this product !!!! 07.01.2022 Ok I know and I get that when you run a business you keep your personal feelings at the door and focus on the professional stuff - but over the last couple of days, we’ve gotten little messages of live and support from customers as they have ordered through Uber or Menulog - these messages have hit my heart and stuck in my throat. Tears come pretty quickly when I know we have people who reach out to strengthen us. I, like every business rely so heavily on our customers - without you we are nothing and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart - thank you so much for all you continue to do ! 01.01.2022 Well Boys and Girls - today is the 4th of July - In America we celebrate this day of Declaration of Freedom - Today in Australia - At Mama Mahoney's we are celebrating this Day of Great Taste ! Starting the day out - you can have Pancakes or Waffles with Homemade Blueberry Syrup - plus the Biscuits and Gravy or any of the other Breakfast offerrings (Did I mention the Cinnabun Rolls?) On to Lunch where you will find the All American (to die for) Burger ! I've added the Chi...cken Parmi Burger complete with homemade pasta sauce ! Then on to dinner where you will have our full menu. All through the day you will have desserts - cupcakes and chocolate dipped Strawberries! And finally - how about some Southern Sweet Tea to top it all off. 01.01.2022 So it started in a little hole in the wall - went to a place a little bigger and now we are here 6 years later. But if truth be told it actually started with a picture and a belief. Christen gave me this picture about 10 years ago for my birthday - I needed someplace to hang it and to hang my dream. Sometimes all we need is a little hole in the wall and some belief to make a dream come true. Is this really a dream come true - you bet your sweet backside it is !! That dream comes with a whole lot of hard work from a whole lot of great people. Thank you thank you thank you for giving me a chance to hang my dream somewhere.
