22.01.2022 This is a good example of how ears can change- lots of pixie(ear type not breed) kids can be born with floppy ears which stand upright with age so if your after a fluffy eared goat that is likely to stay floppy then be sure to mention it to the breeder when looking to purchase.

20.01.2022 I have touched on this subject before (last season) but I still find this interesting, when left to raise their babies in large herd groups goats develop their own crèche system where mums babysit other does kids while the herd is out further browsing/grazing. This increases survival on large properties, teaches the babies about herd life and not just life with mum and siblings. This is an example of our herd crèche system with 2 mums (one experienced doe and a first timer who both had singles) babysitting an extra 12 kids close to the shed while the main herd is out the back of 100+ acres browsing.
