25.01.2022 Monday morning I stripped out the old cupboard then off to pick all the materials I need to make the new one and then to my workshop to pre-fab the cupboard insert and shelves. Then back to the job on Tuesday to assemble and install. A broom closet to one side with four adjustable shelves to go beside and two fixed shelves above

25.01.2022 here's some concreting and concrete repair jobs I've done

23.01.2022 Monday morning this week When I got here this hole in the wall was a linen cupboard, not at all well made, the shelves were wonky and crocked, the doors had fallen off and because it's in a tight hallway they were a nuisance anyway so the owners hung a bamboo blind over it instead My job is to give them a new usable linen/broom cupboard

23.01.2022 One end ready for paint

21.01.2022 Haven't had much work since the rainy days we had last week, got a lawn to mow today and materials to pick up for a job tomorrow, fitting some extra downpipes because the existing ones aren't enough to stop the gutters overflowing during heavy rain

20.01.2022 Wednesday afternoon and the shelves are in, the doors are hung, handles are fitted and it's all trimmed with some new skirting ready for the customer to paint at their leisure and the lady of the house is so happy she's already trying the shelves out for size before I've got my tools packed into the ute

20.01.2022 Handy home maintenance hint - it's a good idea to clean out your gutters regularly, otherwise the build up of leaf litter and compost will cause them rust, them you may need to call on your handyman to replace them

20.01.2022 Only thing left to do now is clean my paint brush

19.01.2022 Yesterday I got a little more done on the drainage job

17.01.2022 There's two sliding doors and two hinged doors to go on this cupboard and they are all odd sizes so it's back to my workshop to cut down and re-frame four doors

17.01.2022 That should solve the problem of overflowing gutters

16.01.2022 Discovered that the guttering has been holding so much water that a section has rusted thru, been and picked up a new section and cut other end into the downpipe

15.01.2022 Friday afternoon, April 17th The concrete truck has been and gone and the trench that took half a week and a bucket of sweat to make is now full of concrete ready for my client to start laying his bricks in a day or two, might pop round next week and see how he's going

09.01.2022 Next little job, more timber rot

09.01.2022 Checked this out over the weekend, seems all that diggin and sweatin wasn't in vain looks like he's doing a great job with the new fence

09.01.2022 Today I've got a section of guttering to fix, it's been propped by the owner to get it flow to the downpipe, I'll sit it back into place and plumb it into existing downpipe at other end

08.01.2022 Except for a lick of paint, which I think my customer will do himself, job's done

07.01.2022 Rubbish removal job this morning, then got a little more of that drainage job done

04.01.2022 Been working on this job over the last week or two, when it rains the shed up the back yard floods and when it rains heavy and persistently the water threatens to flood into the back of the house so my client has asked me to see if can give it somewhere else to go

04.01.2022 4 mts of gravel that's the best part of 6000kgs spread today with a shovel and a rake, that's why you won't find a handyman at the gym :-) Then a big load rubbish for removal to finish off the day

03.01.2022 Today I'm replacing some ballastrading that has got a case of the rot, another handy hint - when working with timber especially pine and even more especially when for an outside project always prime any and all cut ends prior to assembly
