09.01.2022 So it’s been one hell of a month (one month since I’ve started this journey) and Instagram has been getting the best of my time. When I’m not making orders I’m taking them. I have had to make this page for those who don’t have Instagram and I must admit trying to keep up with it all has been quite overwhelming. Although I have been quite active on Instagram I haven’t really had the chance to introduce myself on this page. ... So here it goes! My name is Elina and I reside in Melbourne. My husband and I have a cafe in South Melbourne Zoumi Cafe and he has been running this cafe for the past 5 years. I am currently in childcare and have 3 children plus 3 step children. Yes we are a blended Brady bunch. Manatu Melie ~ which translates in the Tongan language Sweet Memory. A Sweet memory I hope to fulfil when you receive one of my grazing boxes. Now back to business! Like any small or side business, I started this journey not only because I love food, hospitality and creativity but to also bring in some financial help to my family as we all know the struggles of what this pandemic has bought to most families as well as businesses (our cafe) being one of them. This journey however has taken off faster than I anticipated. Going through 140 boxes in the first three weeks! This is obviously a really good thing but can be pretty stressful when you are still working (in childcare) and have a big busy family. To say it’s full on would be an understatement. BUT. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to do this as well as the support that has come my way. I’m thankful to those who have trusted me in making that connection happen between them and their loved ones. This journey has definitely become more than what it started out to be. It’s actually more fulfilling than the financial help that I wanted to bring home because how can you put a price on the feeling of receiving a box of goodies to simple say, hope you are ok during Iso. or we are thinking of you and your family during these tough times or even a happy Iso birthday!. I wanted to make connection between loved ones and have gotten a whole lot more in return and just to show you what I mean in making connections, I have taken orders from customers located in: New Zealand Samoa Alice Springs Darwin Perth Sydney Mildura Griffith Cooma Canberra Who have all ordered for family members here in Melbourne.
