16.01.2022 Today symbolises 7 years of extremely hard work and many sleepless nights. It also symbolises the insatiable will to succeed when anyone who thought a soldier w...ith lived experience from overcoming PTSD didn’t have the qualifications or expertise to change the world of mental health. I can’t fathom to tell you the work that’s been involved in this mission to save and change the lives of those who are going through the same pain as I once went through, but being alive to tell the tale is the greatest success of my life. This is our first government contract. This signature gives the opportunity to 300 military personnel who risked their lives for our safety, peace, and way of life an opportunity to overcome their mental health adversities and have a successful transition back to civilian life through our online evidence based personal development program I created over many years of work. These soldiers will also have 24hr access to online peer support and additional face to face mentoring through their journey of transitioning success. In this contract we are truly proud and humbled to work for the largest government veteran counselling service Open Arms - Veterans and Families Counselling (Formerly VVCS). Our mission is that all 6000 veterans that leave the ADF per year will go through this program compulsory before they leave defence. They train them to go to war, my company trains them to come home. They told me the government would never accept me, I told them they would never hear the end of me. The truth prevailed.
