22.01.2022 We received an email from a client thanking us for fixing their faulty power points so quickly. They also wrote this amazing message ... "As we have guaranteed income and employment we have rounded up our payment from $165 to $200 in the hopes that maybe another customer who has lost their means of income may receive a small discount"... The same day we received an email from another client asking if they could pay their account next week as they had lost their job unexpectedly. We have passed on the discount from the first client, plus a little extra, on to the second client to help them out. Definitely a Good News Story!

18.01.2022 Solar Cowboys Banned From Tassie One benefit of the current travel restrictions is that mainland solar cowboys are unable to come over here and rip off unsuspecting Tasmanians. Tasmania’s consumer and building regulator, CBOS, has reported on the dodgy behaviour of some mainland solar companies before the border closure.... Installers in rented, unmarked vans were doing faulty installations and then quickly leaving the state. Many of these installers were apparently unlicensed and did not submit the paperwork needed to get the solar panel systems connected. When the home owners tried to complain their system didn’t work, the installers could not be contacted. TechSafe, the electrical inspectors, have inspected around of these 100 installations - ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE! It’s pretty easy to avoid being caught out by these cowboys. Don’t deal with door-to-door sales people and telemarketers. Take the time to do your own research and compare different options Talk to a locally based installer who will still be around to offer after sales service and backup after your installation is complete. Simple!

16.01.2022 New Commonwealth Bank report shows Tasmania has the best state economy in Australia as other states suffer more economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic. A new quarterly survey by Commonwealth Banks economics division has ranked Tassie the highest for regional performance, beating Victoria, which has been number one position for the last two years. Australian Capital Territory placed third, New South Wales fourth, with Queensland and South Australia fifth and sixth.... Western Australia placed seventh and Northern Territory came in at last place. Tassies ranking is the result of higher population growth, increased consumer spending, an improved job market and strong demand for new housing. These measures have all improved due to greater domestic tourism and the increased number of mainlanders seeking to move to the island for its affordability and lifestyle advantages. Tasmania topped four of CommSecs indicators which include retail spending, equipment investment, employment growth and population growth. The risk going forward is that prolonged domestic travel restrictions would impact states such as Tasmania and Queensland which rely heavily on tourism. Comsec economist Mr Craig James said. Infrastructure spending will be vital in generating economic momentum.

09.01.2022 A truck pulled down the power line to 2 units in Launceston so our "Rapid Response Team" had to replace the steel pole and repair the underground mains cables. We hooked up a generator to give them power overnight. Hope it wasnt too noisy for the neighbors.

04.01.2022 This plug top has burnt up due to not being plugged in properly. Make sure your appliances are fully plugged into power outlets and not loose or wobbly, especially for heaters and other items that draw a lot of power.
