21.01.2022 Had some unexpected visitors this week. From my kitchen window I saw this family trudging across the hot sand. I guess their little spot of wet land had dried u...p prematurely, as it never got to normal size due to lack of rain, and they were looking for some water to finishing rearing their kids. So I herded them into my place with all sprinklers on to encourage as kids were starting to stop and sit due to burning sand. When Simon got home a bit later we herded them into one of our shady, cool, dog yards to rest up until we figured out what to do with them. See more

12.01.2022 Had to share a photo of the Handsom Shar Pei 'Duke' staying with us. He has attracted a lot of girls friends including Roo, Brite, Abby and Bonnie.

11.01.2022 Time I introduced our newest. Her name is Pizza. She is a Tenterfield Terrier. As we are now semi retired we don't take the number of bookings we use to, so a...t times we may not have any small dogs in for incoming dogs to play with. As that is a big reason why our customers come to us (dogs get to play all day) we needed a friendly small kennel dog (Zuni has been our Big kennel dog for many years). Pizza came in through rescue and has been just what we were looking for. She plays with all, big & small, rough or carefully, just as the other dog wants. She has got regulars, that don't normally run with the other dogs, to actually play. She is tough, fast, a climber (bench tops no obstacle for her) and a complete joy to be around. She likes laying under the blankets, hiding bones, a fast learner that is mad for training, and eats toys like they are sweets. Pan is her best friend and the two of them play endlessly. Being a little dwarf dog, she has incredible muscle bulk. When she came she just bulged like a prize fighter. Apparently she had belonged to a homeless person, so may have spent a lot of time walking the streets. This photo is just so her. I did it for camera club comp. subject Simplification/Negative Space (telling the story with as little detail as possible, with lots of empty space. Don't often like my shots so much, but love this one of our mad midget.

06.01.2022 Luckily there were some seabird rescue people in Mandurah releasing some spoonbills. They came and crated them up with little fuss and fright and released them in the estuary where lots of black swans live.
