15.01.2022 Our incredible and creative friend Jen thought we needed to get into the Christmas Spirit so she made us this amazing Timber Tree complete with Baubles!! Thanks Jen its amazing!!

14.01.2022 A customer asked me how much it cost to do this job.... I answered him: $ 1500 He said: So expensive for this job? I asked: How much do you think it would cost you? He answers me: $ 800 maximum... That's a pretty simple job right? !"... - For $ 800 I invite you to do it yourself. - But.... I don't know how to. - For $800 I'll teach you how to. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time you want - It seemed right to him and he agreed. - But to get started: you need tools: A welder, grinder, chop saw, drill press, welding hood, gloves etc... - But I don't have all these equipment and I can't buy all of these for one job. - Well then for another $300 more I'll rent my stuff to you so you can do it. - Okay, he says. - Okay! Tuesday I'm waiting for you to start doing this work - But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today. - I'm sorry, but I'm only available Tuesday to teach you and lend you my stuff. Other days are busy with other customers. - Okay! That means I'm going to have to sacrifice my Tuesday, give up my tasks. - I forgot. To do your job yourself, you also have to pay for the nonproductive factors. - That is? What is this?" - Bureaucratic, tax, vat, security, insurance, fuel etc. - Oh no!... But to accomplish these tasks, I'm going to spend more money and waste a lot of time! - Do you have them? You can do it to me before?" - Okay! - I'll make you all the material you need. Truck loading is done Monday evening or Tuesday morning you'll have to come by 6 loading the truck. Don't forget to be on time to avoid traffic jams and be on time - At 6??? Nope! Too early for me! I used to getting up later. ... - You know, I've been thinking. Y ' all better get the job done. I'd rather pay you the $1500. If I had to, it wouldn't be perfect and it would cost me a lot more. When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but also: - Knowledge - Experience - Study - Tools - Services - Time to go - punctuality - Accountability - Professionalism - Accuracy - Guaranteed - Patents - Sacrifices - Safety and security - Payment of tax obligations No one can denigrate other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary for the production of a certain work can you estimate the actual cost. I did not write this dialogue, but am sharing it to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs.

14.01.2022 Our clients Amanda and Todd decided to use old recycled Jarrah for their new Kitchen Benchtops. This is the Process we went through; First image is the benchtops joined with dominoes and glue, Second image is once the bench tops had been sanded ready for coating and the third, fourth and fifth images are the benchtops once they had been coated with Fiddes Hard Wax Oil (Satin Finish). They turned out incredible. Amanda and Todd have promised more photos once the bench tops have been installed and the kitchen is finished.....so watch this space!!

Ironclad WA came to us asking if we could make some curved Jarrah Beams as a feature on a pergola for a local park in Alkimos. We absolutely said YES! and this is the finished result. Together with the metal we think it certainly makes a statement! What you guys think??

We have the ship, the captains best friend and a island hut, so all we need now is a map to tell us where the buried treasure may be! 08.01.2022 At the beginning of the year, we helped our client Roy with a Drop Leaf table, but he could not find chairs to match. So we made him two Spotted Gum Bench Seats complete with black powder coated steel frame legs. They turned out amazing and they compliment the table perfectly. Hope you love them Roy!

Using some lovely Jarrah boards in all different lengths we managed to create an incredible feature piece for their Kitchen; pair that with the new white cabinetry we think it just makes a statement!

03.01.2022 The Shire of Murray came to us with a unique request. They wanted some Natural Edge Marri to use as skirting, cornice and as a surround for a window in their "Red Gum Room". We found some beautiful pieces and we believe they came up a treat! The room certainly have a lot of people talking!

01.01.2022 Our Client Allison asked for a feature Jarrah Benchtop and this is what we found her...an incredible massive Jarrah Slab with a Burnt Natural Edge. We filled it with Clear Epoxy Resin to highlight the remarkable natural features. Allison is a true timber Lover; So much so that she even used the small off cut for her Vanity Top!! Now everything flows and matches perfectly. It looks Wonderful Allison, we hope you LOVE it as much as we do!!
