My favourite beach is Granite Bay in QLD, full of these pebbles, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again one day...*sigh* 'Stack of Pebbles' ... 12.01.2022 Today's feature 'Michelle' glazed acrylic on timber size 60 x 60cm $300... I painted this from the shell pictured in the second photo, sitting on the bottom shelf there, which was from my late step father's collection. He brought this home live from one of his trips on the trawler, back in the day they used to drag the nets along the bottom of the ocean. He used to put the living shells on the dining room table so we could watch in anticipation for them to move. Some of them were beautiful. I'm so glad they don't allow this anymore though. I've always liked the subtle pink on the inside of this one, it just had to be painted. Now hanging in our pop_up.gallery and we're back open again!
