23.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I have made decision to close Mandy’s Beauty In The Bush. If it wasn’t for making such a big step and finding the courage 6 years ago to start the business I wouldn’t have discovered a lot about myself. I believe these attributes have helped me through the challenges in my life and I’m forever grateful. I wouldn’t have met the most amazing women from all over Australia. I went against everyone’s advice to start a home based salon in the middl...e of nowhere. I showed people that anything is possible if you have your heart in it. I was also fortunate enough to win some awards during this time which were a surprise. I’ve learnt that I am brave, courageous, strong willed and look at the world differently and wanted others to see things through my eyes. I discovered that I was inspired by the beautiful surroundings which enabled me to write words from the heart and that I wasn’t too shabby at bush poetry. I also stumbled across my creative flair with photography and promotions. I always had a thirst for what was next. I set out to be like no other salon in Australia and I believe I achieved that. It may have been the small little home in the bush but it was so much more than that. The promotions over the years have been memorable and I’ve enjoyed creating magic for everyone. I bought joy to everyone’s life and to me I’ve made the decision to focus my energy on my health and my family. I’ve been given a second now a third chance at life and look forward to the next chapter in my life. Thank you to my Beautiful Bush Belles for your ongoing support and encouragement over the years. 23.01.2022 14 months ago I wrote the poem Bush Belles during a very difficult time. It features rural women from around Queensland. Tune in tonight to The Project on Channel 10 at 6:30pm. Dreams2Live4 is an organisation which makes dreams come true for those living metastatic cancer. Which means cancer which has spread from its original site. Let’s see how this humble poem was transformed into some beautiful.

14.01.2022 HERE IS MY SURPRISE WISH FROM DREAMS2LIVE4!!! Today I turned 37 and was granted my wish. Everyone would know that I love storytelling with my bush poetry. I wanted an Australian female country music singer to turn my work into a bush ballad. My poem I wrote one year ago Bush Belles while I was in the intensive care unit is the poem which is being used. Think I have found my calling as a songwriter Award wining Australia Country Music artist Amber Lawrence is an Australi...an country music singer-songwriter, with six albums, an EP, including four CMAA Golden Guitar awards. 08.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS Dreams2Live4 who made my wish possible had another surprise for me this week. I will be appearing on national television tomorrow night on the show The Project with Carrie Bickmore. I’ll be featured in Carrie’s Midweek Feel Good Story. I will be sharing my story and how my dream was brought to life. Australian Country Music Artist Lawrence will be interviewed also for the story. So tune in at 6:30pm on Channel 10 Wednesday night just after WIN News.
