20.01.2022 As more and more of us shift from the traditional 9 to 5 work day, people make the assumption that we simply aren't busy, that our schedules are flexible, or that we're always on call. Not exactly conducive to work! Putting your phone on aeroplane mode during dedicated work hours means that you have the space and mental energy to focus on the task at hand. 20.01.2022 Many of you don't know that I spent two weeks in the mental health care unit in Joondulap because I thought I went crazy. I was diagnosed as psychotic and went on medication to reduce the symptoms I was having. I was overly attached to my thoughts and emotions. The thoughts that I was having were either highly superstitious thoughts and terrifying thoughts. For example, I thought I was a superhuman being who could cure others peoples pain. At one point in the care unit, I re...member looking at the blinding sun for minutes because I thought I was giving my life in service to god. FYI, my vision was blurred for two months post the event!. I digress. On another point, I thought that other people were out to harm me. In addition, I had feelings of either elation and arousal or paranoia and fear. Both my emotions and my thoughts were on the opposite sides of the scale. I know what you are expecting next; you are hoping that I tell you how I frame this in the present moment and how that has influenced my life in the future. But, I think there is something more important than that here. That you read this for what it is and sit on that :) Remember, thoughts are thoughts, emotions are emotions, and experiences are experiences; you are the conscious awareness witnessing them. #thoughts#emotions##manemind#lifecoach#growth#growthmindset#selfdiscovery#life#lifecoachperth See more

16.01.2022 Having trouble making a habit stick? Habit stacking is the secret weapon you need This concept was first coined by habit development expert S.J. Scott and is pretty simple: by linking habits you want to build with already-existing habits, your chances of success are greater. I use habit stacking to fine-tune my morning, work and evening routines For example in my morning routine, I thought journal, complete breath work, exercise, then... I ice bath and meditate. It started off as a thought journal and grew from there. Think about one new habit you want to start building. Where would it fit? What would it coincide with? After what activity would it come? What placement would encourage you to do it? What old habit would it stick to? Answer these questions to start planning your new habit stacking. #manemind #manemotivation #habit #habitstacking #perth #lifecoach #growth #growthmindset #selfdiscovery #selfdiscoveryjourney See more

10.01.2022 Write an account of your baby steps and baby progress. This tool has changed my life, and it has the power to change yours. My identity and confidence has changed because of this tool. When I tell you these things, I am being 100% authentic. So, what is the magic behind writing an account of your baby steps? The self-encouragement component of it. As humans, we are hard on ourselves, more even than others are hard on us. For this reason, we find every way to beat ourselves u...p for not being good enough, for being too slow, too weak, too inconsistent, too lazy, and too bad at what we do. We are the KINGS of self0hardness (or self-hatred) Guess what this results in? Not keeping to our practise. Not being motivated. Not maintaining momentum. Not encouraging ourselves. Not having fun AND MORE! So, how do we utilise this tool? A great example is of somebody who has set a goal to exercise 4 times per week for three months, and has begun to implement the exercise practise, and is demotivated by the amount of exercise sessions they got in for the first week. Let us say they did 2 sessions this week. Step 1: At the end of the week, write an account of your baby step in a journal. For example, write "I completed 2 exercise session this week". The magic of this is that you can go as small as possible. REMEMBER THEY ARE BABY STEPS! "I completed 1 exercise session this week" "I completed 20 minutes exercise this week" "I spent 20 minutes planning and preparing to exercise this week" "I spent 20 minutes thinking in my mind, about preparing and planning to exercise this week" Do you see that the baby steps can be infinitely small? And is it based on REAL LIFE! It is done after the fact, and it is not an affirmation. This is how I have managed to do a half ironman, change my identify and built my confidence. NO JOKE! Self-encouragement is literally the name of the game. Change your identity, Change your confidence!, And Change your life! #identity#confidence See more
