25.01.2022 I really love moments like this when Ashley and Jayani celebrated their marriage with a Poruwa and civil ceremony with Ashley wearing the complete traditional Kandyan costume!

24.01.2022 I met a lovely girl Samantha Supun in London who wanted me to perform her Poruwa ceremony in Colombo. I also got to know her delightful parents (Surangika and Jayantha) from New Zealand and her Partner John from the UK. Below is the wonderful feedback I received from this family. Thank you Surangika and Jayantha for your wonderful feedback. ---------- --------------- --------------------- Dear Prabhati, We are grateful to you for ha...ving conducted such a brilliant poruwa ceremony at the wedding of our daughter Samanthi Supun to John Veness (at Kingsbury hotel in Colombo in July). All the guests, foreign and Sri Lankan, enjoyed the ceremony which was vibrant and delivered in a friendly, easy manner. You were proficient equally in English and Singhalese; the verses chanted were musical and pleasing. The couple felt relaxed. We, as parents never found a moment of confusion for it was conducted in a precise, clear manner. You explained the significance of each custom that was performed on the poruwa, which brought much meaning to everyone. Our guests too, felt that they were involved in it and enjoyed it, as they videoed and took pictures, as you invited them be at a short distance from the poruwa. The ceremony was unique.
