The lake has been stocked with over 30,000 barra which are averaging 80cm and growing fast. Bookings essential. We are located on the water at Copperlode Dam. It’s about 25-30 minutes from base of Lake Morris road to the main gate.which is 14km up. Our signed turnoff is on the left 200 metres past the main gates. It’s a steep driveway down to the lake. 18.01.2022 Cairns to Kuranda. Stoney Creek Road (Glacier Rock Trailhead) at Kamerunga to Kuranda on the Douglas Track then the McDonald Track. About 3 hours at a moderate ...pace. Lots of tree roots on the Douglas Track then a wide service road on the McDonald Track all the way to Wrights Lookout followed by a pleasant few km to Kuranda on bitumen road. Lunch in Kuranda then the bus back down the range. Easy to follow trail and it’s sure to become a favourite of mine. See more
