All good this morning. SO STAY VIGLLANTE AND NOT COMPLACENT See more

24.01.2022 To our valued event attendees, community groups & volunteers, As you’re already aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that it’s now vital to limit social co...ntact and avoid large gatherings. For that reason, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Mangrove Mountain & Districts Country Fair scheduled to be held on Saturday 17th October 2020. While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep our volunteers and attendees safe. Mangrove Mountain & Districts Country Fair has been held annually since 1963, and is also the only major fundraising event in the area, with all profits from the day being funneled back into local community groups in the form of grants. Therefore, in order to raise vital funds for our community groups, we will be holding an online fundraising raffle. The raffle will go live on Saturday 26th September, and will be drawn on Saturday 17th October at 6pm. All the prizes on offer and raffle details will be posted on our social media channels. We've had some generous support from the community with the donation of some amazing prizes, so we'd love to raise as much as possible to support our local community groups, clubs and schools. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time, and we welcome you back in 2021 for a bigger, better Mangrove Mountain & Districts Country Fair

15.01.2022 Update on 3 Mile Fire 2/12/2019

15.01.2022 The Mangrove Mountain RFB have just realised our two most important members have never actually had formal introductions! These two members would like to intro...duce themselves and tell us what they have been up to over the last few months We have been oh so busy helping our community over the last few months with these pesky fires disrupting Christmas We started off with being on call for all of those who had concerns of fires or other incidents for our community. We then had that pesky Gospers Mountain Fire begin to threaten all of those who we care about. Then came the BIG Three Mile fire that we were joined by many of our friends to protect as many homes as we possibly could! Now that it has calmed down in our area we are heading up and out to help our friends in other areas of impact. We are still here on call for our area as we are able to divide and conquer You are still probably wondering who we are? Well, let us introduce ourselves, we are Buster and Butch the Mangrove Mountain cat1 and the Mangrove Mountain cat7 along with our Mangrove Mountain Crew We look forward to seeing some new faces at our information night on the 10th Jan 7pm about those wanting to join us! Yours kindly, Buster, Butch and your MMRFB Crew

Wednesday 26 February from 5-8pm Central Coast Council, The Office of Emergency Management and Disaster Welfare will visit Mangrove Mountain on Wednesday 26 February from 5-8pm for residents requiring assistance and support following the flood and storm event. Council staff and other agencies will be on hand to provide residents with information and advice around recovery and clean up, as well as direct assistance with their properties. Council Director Connected Communities, Julie Vaughan said residents are encouraged to visit the centre for assistance. As our community continues to clean-up after the storm, I’d like to remind residents that there is help out there for anyone that needs it, Ms Vaughan said. We want to make sure that any affected residents receive the right support and their lives return back to normal as soon as possible. We want residents to be assured there is help available at our recovery centres. Residents can book in bulk kerbside collections services to remove any household items damaged by the storm. We are also in the process of removing all reported fallen trees and debris from affected areas, as well as undertaking removal of seagrass from roads and footpaths. The safety and well-being of our community is paramount. Council and the Department of Community & Justice will be holding an information session at the Mangrove Mountain centre at 5.30pm for residents to find out information on welfare assistance, recovery support and other services available to suit their individual needs. The session will be held at Mangrove Mountain Community Hall, Corner of Wisemans Ferry Road and Waratah Road. Two other community recovery information points are also open for residents: The Entrance Community Centre (Building E), Battley Avenue Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Saturday 10am-4pm.
