24.01.2022 Advance has just released information and delivery timing for the eagerly anticipated high-end Impress4 competition and XC harness. 15 years ago the original Impress heralded a new era. This flagship harness is full of innovations and is an all new design in every respect. It will undoubtedly be in a class of its own firmly at the top of the stack. It weighs just 6.4kgs (size M) and due to its smart compact folding system can easily fit into a regular backpack along with the ...glider (which most others in this category struggle to do !). It offers near perfect aerodynamics (using CFD analysis all round and attention to detail like no other harness on the market), exceptional comfort (can be flown with and without a seatboard) and the highest degree of safety ever seen in this type of harness (with additional SAS-TEC and foam sandwich plates where they are needed). It comes delivered with a cockpit, windshield, hook knife, left and right reserve mounts, a backpack and much more. There is so much info about this new design its best to contact Godfrey directly and request the full product PDF : Email [email protected]. First deliveries from Switzerland will start mid June. 21.01.2022 Hi Everyone. The excellent flymanilla.com web site weather page is back up now after some web based tech issues which took a while to solve. There is now also a 2nd web cam - from HQ area looking at the HQ LZ and Mt Borah. Btw - the cams, radar and satellite image loops are all synchronised too which makes for great situational awareness of the weather conditions. https://flymanilla.com//MtBorahWeat/tabid/339/Default.aspx

20.01.2022 Not your regular XC flying... a great video of Advance Team pilot Eliot Nochez having some fun racing a car down a mountainside in France on his Omega X-Alps3 https://www.facebook.com/eliotnochez/videos/984842068622240/

20.01.2022 Lots of smiling students on our first Spring PG2 live-in license course this past week. They all got to enjoy some spectacular Borah sunsets from the air too. Those booked in from Qld, Vic and overseas however couldn't make it due to covid travel restrictions :-(

19.01.2022 Great pic of Stu Dyson flying his Iota with Dolphins in WA.

19.01.2022 The Manilla SkySailors Club has just undertaken a major launch renovation project at Mt Borah. After 16 years most of the old lighter weight mats put down for the Manilla 2007 World Championships were in tatters and the launches were in desperate need of attention. The cost for new mats for such a huge area covering 3+ major launches was out of the question at well over $1million. Luckily Tamworth Hockey was replacing some fields this year and the Club managed to obtain a lim...ited quantity of used heavier rubber backed mats in an assortment of colours. The East Launch (upper and lower) and North Launch were the most in need and received the most rolls plus some earthworks. The West Launch had a patch job done and erosion areas repaired. Thanks to the contractors for their excellent job - Phil McIntyre (Excavator), Tim Smith (Bobcat and Tipper). M&M Steel Manilla supplied the staples. The hardest and most important job was that of the Staple Team - drilling holes and hammering them in. Club members were at it for that hard hitting job - James Banner, Karen Doane, Luke Beresford with locals Tom Priest, Tim Ison, Kurtis Brazel. See more

19.01.2022 Something other than paragliding... a very rare and epic ultralight aircraft flight from Manilla to Sydney International Airport

17.01.2022 MANILLA XC CAMP 2021 CANCELLED. Due to the recent covid outbreak in Sydney and other ongoing covid issues regarding short notice travel restrictions, the event, which attracts 150+ pilots every year and was due to start on 23rd Jan, has been cancelled. The Mt Borah site and HQ/Cabins/Camping facility remains open for free flying the whole time unless otherwise directed by NSW public health orders. This sadly will be the first season in 27 years that an international event ha...s not been held at Mt Borah :-( The next event is the Paragliding State of Origin held over easter - hopefully we will be ok for that one. Dates for Manilla XCC 2022 : Jan 22-29. See more
