03.01.2022 The federal budget revealed $12.5 billion in personal income tax cuts over the next 12 months. This will impact around 11.6 million individuals almost all Australian workers. These tax cuts, combined with record low interest rates and easier access to credit, mean the stars are really starting to align for borrowers. If you would like to find out how this impacts your personal situation please give me a call.

03.01.2022 Is your mortgage deferral coming to an end? As we approach the six-month mark from the date deferrals commenced, around half of these loans are due to be assessed by lenders to determine whether these customers will be granted an extension of their deferral. Remember that putting your loan on hold increases the overall cost of your loan. This is because you are still incurring interest during the deferral period and this interest will be added onto your principal, increasing... the total interest you pay. This means that if you can start making your repayments even if you can only make partial repayments or interest-only payments you should try to make it happen, as it will ultimately cost you less. You need to contact your lender to discuss your options and the implications of your choice; however, please feel free to contact me to discuss a refinance or any other borrowing concerns.
