25.01.2022 Parkrun #319. A great turnout today with lots of first timers and visitors. Today one of our Manjimup parkrun founders Russell Candy stepped down after 6 years as event director. An amazing contribution to a fabulous event - we are truly grateful for all you have done. Thanks to Mark Sewell who has stepped up to take on his role.

25.01.2022 Plenty of empty spots in the roster coming up. Let us know what you'd like to help with!

24.01.2022 Run #324 saw 20 Parkrunners overcome the lethargy of Christmas feasting & festivities & make their way to King Jarrah for the Boxing Day run. Congratulations to Tayte Oliver & Anya Johnston for smashing out PB’s. Have a great week everyone and see you all for the first run of 2021!

23.01.2022 Parkrun #318 - The threat of rain didn't deter 15 keen runners. Today saw Jenna reach a huge milestone on 250 parkruns - the first person to reach that milestone for Manjimup. A fabulous achievment by an amazing woman. Congratulations!

18.01.2022 Hands up if you can fill any of these spots! If you have a mobile phone and at least one opposable thumb then you have no excuses ;)

12.01.2022 With phase 5 restrictions being delayed in WA we are awaiting a restart date from parkrun HQ. So, watch this space! And in the meantime, just keep running

11.01.2022 Latest update from parkrun Australia re potential reopening of parkrun in WA. Western Australia (WA) As we have mentioned in previous updates, the tentative start date for Phase 5 of the WA COVID-19 roadmap is 24 October. We therefore provisionally intend to reopen events in WA on that day under our COVID-19 Framework. However, this date could come forward, or move backwards, depending on government announcements. We continue to work closely with parkrun Ambassadors and event teams in WA to ensure everything is in place for parkrun’s return.

10.01.2022 Run #323 saw 24 parkrunners at King Jarrah - 3 of them first timers! Have a great week everyone and see you all boxing day to wear off some Christmas pud

08.01.2022 Be a part of these events, right in our backyard! Volunteers are needed for The Delirious W.E.S.T. (Western Endurance Scenic Trail) 200 Miler 10th-14th February and... RAC Karri Valley Triathlon 13th March If you want to join in either of these epic events let us know & I'll send you the details! Happy volunteering - Jodie

06.01.2022 Manji parkrun was a little quiet on the weekend with 4 of our RDs & their families in Walpole enjoying a bit of trail time. And who should they bump into on the Bib? One of our former RDs & her partner We're expecting a bigger turnout this Saturday with the Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival on!

04.01.2022 Checkout our covid-19 operating guidelines at https://volunteer.parkrun.com//open-with-covid-19-manageme Key points: If you are unwell, please stay home Practise social distancing ... This means no high 5s or hugs, but keep cheering each other on! Avoid non essential pre or post run gatherings Hope to see you all back at King Jarrah soon!!

04.01.2022 Framework for the future opening of parkrun, hopefully soon in Manjimup. We are well placed to provide the appropriate social distancing one of the prime requirements.

03.01.2022 Hey Manjimup parkrunners! This Saturday 16/01 (run # 327) or maybe next Saturday 23/01 (#328), one special - but as yet unknown - person who completes Manjimup parkrun at King Jarrah will bring our combined distance run and walked at King Jarrah to 40,000 km since we started. 40,000 km! That's one full circumference of planet Earth!... Imagine if we had been able to actually circumnavigate the globe over these past 6 or 7 years! We might have headed off roughly eastwards, crossing the continent, then the ocean, then other lands and seas until we crossed the Indian Ocean and came back to our own southwest coast. And YOU might be the person who, as you finish your parkrun or walk, this Saturday or next, just up the path from King Jarrah, brings our combined trail of parkruns right back to Manjimup. What a feeling that would be! Just a thought! Be there!

02.01.2022 Parkrun Manjimup #322. A mix of locals and visitors here for the Cherry Festival. A hot morning made for challenging running conditions with lots of debris from recent high winds. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this event possible. See you next week

02.01.2022 Manjimup Parkrun #320. A smaller group today with a few visitors. Well done to everyone who attended. Check out the pics of Graeme Pearce being attacked

01.01.2022 All byyyyy myyyyyself, don't wanna be.... Without volunteers parkrun would be as exciting as Bridget Jones' Saturday night Hands up Who wants to help Cam in a couple weeks? If you haven't had a go at one of these jobs there's no better time to learn from one of our friendly RDs ... If you can fill any of these empty spots please message us or email [email protected] See more
