24.01.2022 The Manjimup Trail Bike Hub is currently in its 'Pre-stage' which has involved a full review of the Feasibility Report and the formation of an association - the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub Inc - to drive this project into the future. For the Hub to become a reality, and to progress onto the stages of implementation, we need funding support from the State and/or Federal governments. Right now, we're making sure we're prepared to apply for any grant opportunity that comes our way and that we're 'funding ready' if and when that happens. www.manjimup.wa.gov.au/trailbikehub

09.01.2022 Do you remember taking part in a rider survey back in 2016? More than 2000 people from across Australia participated which was phenomenal! The results formed a part of a feasibility report which has been the basis upon which this project has progressed, so thank YOU for your support! We also wouldn't have come this far without the support of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as well as our valuable project partners the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the Shire of Manjimup. Visit www.manjimup.wa.gov.au/trailbikehub to read the report and for updates on the project.

06.01.2022 So much background work has gone into the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub (a feasibility report of 150 pages plus appendices, an incorporation, meetings of the interim executive committee), but do you really feel like sifting through all of that paper work to find out exactly how the project will be implemented? To make it easy, we've put together a one page quick reference guide on the six stage implementation plan which even details how much funding we'll need to complete each stage. You can find that guide via www.manjimup.wa.gov.au/trailbikehub as well as the new 'Kick Start the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub' document which is an extract of the Feasibility Report.

06.01.2022 The Manjimup Trail Bike Hub needs a logo! Can you help? Visit www.manjimup.wa.gov.au/trailbikehub to see all the details, including a full design brief. There is an impressive prize pack up for grabs, with $150 to spend at Manjimup Motorcycles and Small Engines, plus $150 at any Honda Motorcycle dealership in WA. Entries close Friday, 28 September. It's time to get creative!

04.01.2022 C'mon down to the Manjimup Cherry Festival this morning and find out about the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub #manjimupcherryharmonyfestival

04.01.2022 In order for the Manjimup Trail Bike hub to become an association, we needed to form an interim Executive Committee. Luckily, a cross-section of stakeholders were engaged back in 2016 when the feasibility report was being prepared and these people have continued to show their support in order to get this project moving. Pictured at our last meeting is (L-R): Linda Russell (Motorcycling WA), Sam Karamfiles (community member), Evy Apeldoorn (Shire of Manjimup), Tim Foley (De...partment of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions), Cliff Winfield (Councillor) and Valerie Pretzel (Trail Bike Management Australia). Glenn Albon from Manjimup Motorcyles managed to escape the photo, as did Brett Grandin from the Recreational Trail Bike Riders Association. This is just an interim committee though, so we'll be putting a call out for people to nominate over the next few months. Do you have what it takes? See more

02.01.2022 Whilst we have been quiet on our Facebook page, you can rest assured that behind the scenes the committee have been vigilantly jumping "red tape" fences as part of this process to near the finish line. Tonight a monumentous milestone was achieved when the Manjimup Shire voted to contribute $576,500.00 via a loan to match a dollar for dollar Federal Government funding. Fingers crossed, let's hope that the Feds get on board with there grant funding, then we will be able to kick... start 4 of the 6 proposed stages. Stage 1 - Adventure Bikes riders, Stage 2 - Tourers (trail & enduro's}, Stage 3 - junior riders & motocross riders (on private land) and Stage 4 - Single Track riders which includes registered and non-registered bike. Stage 5 - Family explorers (trail bike touring for families and Stage 6 - Side by sides and ATV's are propose to follow once the the first four are up and running. Wheels have turned slow in dealing with beaurocracy, however I have a burning desire to soon see Australia's first ever trail bike hub. Stay tuned, the gateway to the world renowned Southern Forests may soon be yours to explore! The photo taken tonight below from the Shires agenda shows the Manjimup Shire's officers recommendation to the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub Request for Funding - Implementation of Stages 1 to 4.
