16.01.2022 We tried really hard to find something interesting and new for you this week! While we were shopping for veggies, we stumbled across Tewodros Fekadu from Mankir...a Coffee, and made the ultimate coffee discovery- you know, that one that happens when you least expect it. He has a little stall at the Brisbane CBD markets on Wednesdays and plans to start at the Boggo Road markets on Sundays. He uses only Ethiopian coffee, selling single origin and an Ethiopian blend. An interesting thing to note; Tewodros is Ethiopian and has a real passion for his country's coffee drawn from his firsthand experience. The coffee is roasted on the Gold Coast by Silipo Coffee. 06.01.2022 Mankira Coffee has put a lot of thought and detail into their packaging. Mankira is the forest region of Ethiopia where Kaldi herded his goats, according to Eth...iopian legend. The characters on the bag are what are called moon faces which has been found painted on Ethiopian churches for centuries and there is three for the blend and one for the single. Tewodros is able to arrange Ethiopian coffee ceremonies which would be an amazing experience. See more
