24.01.2022 FALLS PREVENTION IS VITAL: The hospital Inpatient programs involves individualised exercise sessions seven days a week with an experienced physiotherapist, this includes, but is not limited to, balance and strength training a minimum of twice a day. Where appropriate patients are also taught how to get up off the floor. Regular education group sessions with an Occupational Therapist cover falls prevention for home safety. Our OTs also provide home visits for safety setup.



15.01.2022 Manly Waters is an Acute Care Private Hospital and has agreements with the Health Funds and of course DVA. We quickly assess if the patient meets the requirements. There is also no daily gap payment for inpatients. The Day Rehabilitation program is covered by the patients Hospital Health cover. Our Rehabilitation Programs include: Orthopaedic, Neurological, Reconditioning, Cardiac and Heart Wellness, Respiratory and Cancer Rehabilitation.

04.01.2022 Manly Waters is proud to have three wonderful Rehabilitation Specialists: Dr Iain Rodger (Inpatients) has a special interest in Geriatric Rehabilitation and is a member of International Society of Orthotics & Prosthesics, International Association for the Study of Pain, Continence Foundation of Australia and the Australian Association of Musculoskelelal Medicine. Dr Moreena Kwa (Inpatients & Outpatients) experience includes Orthopaedic, Chronic pain management, disabilities... post stroke and post spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputee rehabilitation and people with neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson disease and Multiple Sclerosis). Dr Fariborz Jashnany (Inpatients & Outpatients) is passionate about Day Rehabilitation with special interest in Orthopaedic including spinal, Cardio-respiratory and Neurological rehabilitation. Our Rehabilitation Programs include: Orthopaedic, Neurological, Reconditioning, Cardiac and Heart Wellness, Respiratory and Cancer Rehabilitation.
