A message from Woody for those that havent seen it: As some of you will know, some of you wont...Ive had my challenges dealing with anxiety and depression and have been working on a side project for coming up a year. Ive written a book called LIGHT which is a highly illustrated story that explains how anxiety and depression can present its self and proven tools and techniques to manage and overcome it. Which includes a mental health toolkit telling people whe...re to go to get help. Im having a book launch at 7th Day Brewery on Thursday 19th December which Id like to invite you all to. Theyll be delish craft beers and tasty pizzas along with some live music. Books will be available to buy on the night but if you want to find out more and buy a copy online then heres the website: https://thefinchfoundation.com All money raised will be used to run events and distribute my books across Australia with the aim of saving lives and helping people that are struggling. Suicide rates are too high especially for young men and this is my effort to encourage people to speak up and seek help when they need it. 14.01.2022 The MWCA are hosting a Twenty20 charity game against Manly Grade on Sunday 23rd Feb at 10am to 1pm at Manly Oval. Its in support of the Kieren Mantle Charity day. Our very own Woody Woodhead has been selected to play in the MWCA team. If youre around on Sunday, try and get down to there to show him and the club some Breakers support. Nice one Woody Woodhead. We have a lot of unfinished business from last season, we didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate both teams’ achievements and host the club’s 20th year celebration. This is all to come this year, so we need a gun committee to step up and help out. ... If you would like to get on the committee, then come down to the Brooky on Wednesday 8th and get involved. 03.01.2022 Breakers, I hope everyone is keeping well in these crazy times. As you would expect, our end of season presentation evening and 20th year celebration will be postponed. It’s a real shame, especially in our 20th year with both teams smashing this season. Once again, massive congrats to all the guys who played this year and helped both teams finish 2nd on the ladder in 2nd grade and 5ths taking home the flag. Let see how the next few months go, but one idea is to hold the pre...sentation and celebration as next seasons opener. We have also had the club’s resident statistician on the case, working out who is this season Cricketer of the Year!!! Update on that coming later this week Cheers lads. Stay safe. Go well.
