25.01.2022 Our newest Gold Member Mair Mansfield & CO are growing and you could be part of the team! This energetic bunch are both hardworking and fun!

23.01.2022 Our mates at 4 Pines Brewing Company know this year has been a little strange and with the Melbourne Cup on our doorstep they are throwing open Manly’s downstairs venue 4 Pines Brew Pub & Keller Door, Manly for some beer and shenanigans With a 12pm start they are doing a 3 hour drinks package, with live music and trivia going on throughout the day they’re thinking about wrapping up around 4pm, where you can either attempt to go back to work or head upstairs to the Brew Pub and kick on.

23.01.2022 With the school holiday bubble nearly over we loved this post from @beachescoworking sharing apps/programs that are crucial to the smooth running of their business - perhaps you can recommend a few more? Adobe Spark for social media graphics & videos (stories & feed), posters, flyers, etc. This is still relatively new - it's just like Canva but for Adobe users its much more user friendly. Slack for communicating within our team - it cuts my em...ails in quarter and I can anything I need to go back to Planoly for social media planning and scheduling. I'm a visual person so love having my calendar right beside the grid and being able to move images around on the grid too. The autopost is a game changer - nor more forgetting to post! Trello for the endless to-do lists, idea 'car parks', articles to read later, etc. Loom for easily recording your screen and being able to share the videos quickly with others. It's great way to train others on how to do tasks for you (way more efficient than a call and less room for error) Notion is a newbie for us, but it's fantastic for compiling training manuals, planning out tasks, allocating jobs to others. I think it might actually replace Trello soon ... I just need to figure out to how get it to look the same! Optix is our internal booking app. Our members can book casual desks & meeting rooms easily, check how many days they have left on their plans, see our venue guides, etc. We can also communicate with members & them with us. All of these have desktop and mobile apps, so we can pretty much work anywhere, anytime. Need more info on any of these? DM their team! @snappystreetcreative See more

21.01.2022 The NSW Government says that our classic ferries will be phased out this year & replaced with smaller, faster ferries made in China. Only two classic ferries will remain, operating on weekends & public holidays only. There are compelling reasons to keep all four ferries which were purpose-built in Australia. They provide easy accessibility and are a link to our heritage. Help save an Aussie icon today by signing the official Parliamentary petition bit.ly/3cfJUyY

19.01.2022 Chamber Exec member Klaudia Brown of @bellepropertymanly attended a meeting with @jamesgriffinmp andthe Transport Minister yesterday representing our business community in regards to our support of maintaining the Freshwater Class ferry. Our members have made it clear they value these iconic old beauties and the role they play in promoting Manly. The outcome is that Transport NSW acknowledged the heritage/ historical value of the Freshwater class ferries. They agre...e the importance of this ferry class to our tourist market and the service to Manly on the weekends and during peak visitor periods. All agree a middle ground needs to be found and they will be putting a new proposal to the council in the next couple of weeks. #lovemanly See more

15.01.2022 Back in April 2019 our then President Luke Atkins made it clear that we believe it would be an absolute tragedy for Manly and Sydney as a whole if the truly iconic Freshwater-Class ferries were to be phased out. The Manly Ferry ride is renowned internationally as a must-do experience when visiting Sydney and ranks alongside the Staten Island Ferry and the Star Ferry in Hong Kong as truly global tourist attractions. Like these world-class services, the charm and heritage of ...the existing fleet vessels are an intrinsic part of the experience and can not be replicated by replacing them with smaller, modern vessels. While we appreciate adding additional, more frequent services will support commuters, this is already an existing and established service the NSW State Government has deregulated for private sector operators like the Manly Fast Ferry service. To phase out such an important part of Manly’s cultural identity would be extremely disheartening and would have a severe impact on tourism for both Manly and the Northern Beaches so we encourage you to join us by signing the Change petition to Save the Manly Ferries http://chng.it/fcQFLKKvqy
