25.01.2022 FIRST THE GOOD NEWS: Shorts have arrived and are available to be collected (if you have purchased online) or purchase from the ground tonight. Please get in early we are expecting high volumes of sales. NOW THE BAD NEWS: It has been raining quite heavily the last few days. On the bright side Keirle Park is a sand based ground and drains very well so fingers crossed we can play tonight. 23.01.2022 Hi All Just a reminder re Wet Weather. Games are always on until we call them off. Once games are called off we will post an update on here. If there is no update then GAMES ARE ON. We will only cancel games for the following reasons... * Grounds are closed by Council * Ground is unavailable due to maintenace or issues beyond our control ie vandalism, lights not working etc. * Dangerous or adverse weather conditions ie heat, dust, severe storms Once games commence, they will only be cancelled if conditions are deemed dangerous. We will continue to play in rain unless the fields are unplayable. We will always do everything possible to get the games played. This may mean games are shortened to get everyone in. 21.01.2022 ROUND 2 What a great start to our Winter season. Great to see the old faces back on the field and some new teams joining us. A big thank you to everyone who everyone who was abiding by our COVID Safe plans.... Just a reminder that for the time being spectators are not permitted at the game. Please ensure you tell your girlfriends, boyfriends, family & friends that you value their health and you want them to stay at home. We are putting the finishing touches on our new website this week and hope for it to be fully completed by the end of the week. We also plan to have the full season draw available by this time. We are still accepting new team registrations but we only have a limited number of spots remaining so if you want to enter make sure you get organised quickly. 17.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just had confirmation that Keirle Park is closed to sports that do not fit into the low impact classification. This unfortunately includes us meaning tonights games are off.... This is very unfortunate but very much out of our hands. Just a reminder that there are no games next week due to Melbourne Cup. All teams will be contacted via email by the end of the week to discuss continuing the season after Christmas and into February. Thank You for your understanding and we will see you all in 2 weeks. We have split the Mixed competition into 2 divisions with the addition of a new team over the weekend.... There will now be a weekly double header in both Mens & Mixed so make sure you have read the draw carefully. With last weeks washout we will also be adding another 2 double header rounds to ensure everyone gets plenty of games throughout the season. 13.01.2022 COVID SAFE POLICY In these uncertain times we ask that all players observe the following rules during this Winter season. Your health and safety is always our number one priority and we want to ensure we are doing the right thing to ensure we can continue to play every week.... Our Competition Operations Manager, Luke Eisenhauer will be our Covid Safety Marshall *PLAYERS ONLY. We ask you do not encourage friends and family to come and watch your games during these times. Any people not directly involved in the team or the game will be asked to leave. *If you are showing signs of the flu DO NOT come to the ground. *If you are coming from a COVID hotspot please DO NOT come to the ground. *Wash and sanitise your hands prior to and following your game. We will have a hand sanitiser station setup in front of the Clubhouse. *Come ready to play. We encourage you not to move to your field until 5 minutes before your game. Once your game has finished please remove yourselves from the ground immediately. This also means you can not sit around and enjoy a post game beer at the ground or in the carpark. *All players are required to sign on with the referee as per normal practice. If you have not registered or do not sign we can not contact you in case of an outbreak. *BYO drink bottle. Unfortunately we will not be selling drinks so please come prepared and avoid sharing bottles with your team mates *Avoid high fives and handshakes. I know things can get excited so air fives are definitely acceptable. By following these simple rules, and using common sense, we can keep each other safe and stay on the field as long as possible.
