24.01.2022 Echo enjoying some outside time with Nurse Olivia in our gardens. Being a busy 24hr Hospital it is nice to be able to walk our patients safely within our grounds. Spending some time under the leafy canopy of our beautiful Moreton Bay Fig Trees is sometimes just what the doctor ordered.

23.01.2022 Sometimes you just need to be held.

23.01.2022 Nurse Manager Paula was A OK with Murphy (her rescue Burmese) being her project manager for the day.

23.01.2022 Dr Sharon and Biggy the Fox Terrier. Dr Sharon is one of those Vets who gives a little bit of her heart to every patient she meets. Dr Sharon is just one of our MRVH Vets whose hearts are so big they can afford to give pieces of it away to the babies in their arms.

22.01.2022 We are so lucky that we get to meet horses like Ash. Here, his mum Alisha and Dr Lester are giving him a checkup. An entirely gentle, sweet young horse. Gorgeous.

22.01.2022 You may not recognise Dr Kassy but that is because she is always out on the road in our Equine Unit vehicle. Dr Kassy travels far and wide performing Large Animal call outs. Frome horse dentals to pig castrations this busy Vet spends her days sharing her talents with the Equine community. We would love to see her around the grounds more but we know she is out doing the work she was born to do. Can we please get some love for this amazing Vet and incredible human being.

21.01.2022 We love Allegra. This gorgeous Waler horse is so sweet inside and out. Allegra is so gentle and social. She loves any attention that our Equine Team send her way. No matter what we tell her she has always been a bit self conscious about her hind quarters and we have to keep telling her..."No Allegra your butt does not look big in our stables." You rein supreme Queen!

21.01.2022 The magic of Marvel. We wanted to thank Marvel for all of the patience he has shown us over the last few weeks. Enduring surgery on his paw and many bandage changes, Marvel as always has been such a trooper. Thanks Marvel for sharing your sweetness, joy and gentle nature with our Team.

20.01.2022 Why would anybody want to enter into the field of Vet Nursing or Veterinary Technician? Vet Tech student Tara can give you 99 reasons and this puppy is one!

20.01.2022 A rare moment today that allowed us the time to tidy up our Dedication Garden. We are so grateful to have this memorial in honour of the beautiful animals that have touched our lives before they crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are forever grateful to Pets In Peace for making this Dedication Garden a reality for us. https://www.petsinpeace.com.au/. https://www.facebook.com/PetsInPeacePtyLtd/

20.01.2022 Greedy Vets I spend my days with greedy Vets, It is plain for all to see. My vets are very greedy,... For their skill there is a fee. Their greed for knowledge is endless. Their greed for answers is clear. Their greed to heal consumes them. To fail is their biggest fear. Many years of study and toil, It takes to learn the ropes. To one day pay their Uni debt, Amongst their greatest hopes. These vets want nothing more, Than to cure the very ill. They do not do it for the cash, To say so breaks their will. Their healing hands surround our pets, And often they hold our own. When they have done all that can be done Yet our babies are still called home. So you see, this greed is very real, They take it home each day. The greed to help, the greed to heal. It never goes away. Author - MRVH Team Member. Image - Dr Miranda & Rye

19.01.2022 Please please please please please please please please please please please please USE TICK PREVENTION.... We have already had many cases presented to us in the last 24hrs. If you are not using some form of Tick Prevention your pets life may be at risk. Nexgard Bravecto Simparica Revolution Plus Advantix READ THE FINE PRINT ON YOUR PRODUCT. All products have different efficacy time frames. Run your hands over your babies body every day. Especially around the head and neck area. Paralysis Ticks are not choosy about breed or environment. They are THE WORST. Symptoms - drunken stagger, cough, lethargy, vomiting, difficulty breathing. Symptoms can still present 24-48hrs after tick removal. If your dog is presented with tick paralysis their treatment will include a complete body clip. Tick antiserum is administered along with other medications and if their symptoms progress they may need to go on a Ventilator because they can no longer breath for themselves. We love your babies and you love your babies so together lets save their lives. Please share this post to help educate all families of the dangers of the horrid Paralysis Tick. Thank you and may all your precious ones stay safe and healthy always.

14.01.2022 It’s been a big Week at MRVH. We have welcomed some wonderful new Team Members to our Staff (like Kellie cuddling Norton pictured below). We also farewelled one of our much loved Nurses Lauren. We wish Lauren all the very best as she heads back to her New Zealand family. Her Aussie MRVH family will miss her dearly. Our spirits were lifted by the presence of two adorable baby goats!! These kids were the cutest!! Construction has also begun on our purpose built upgrades f...or our Dental & Ophthalmology surgical theatres. It’s all happening! Have a safe and healthy weekend everyone and give your precious ones a cuddles from us.

14.01.2022 Kitten speak can be really intense! So demanding but entirely too cute!

14.01.2022 Nurse Amy has every reason to smile with a dog like Clifford in her life. Clifford is one super smart, stylish, savvy Schnoodle. Nurse Amy is one of the outstanding Medical Nurses in our Hospital Ward. So it is our fault when Clifford gives Amy side eye when she comes home with the scent of the patients on her uniform. She doesnt have another dog on the side Clifford we promise.

13.01.2022 Thanks to Noeline Quinn for the video submission.

11.01.2022 Little packages of squishy gorgeousness.

11.01.2022 Happy First Day of Spring! The season of Spring is all about new life, waking up from a sleepy winter and celebrating the beauty of the natural world. From all of the Team of MRVH we hope this Spring brings you much health, happiness and joy. It has been a tough winter for us all. Lets hope that Spring brings better days and good health to our local community and beyond. ... Just in case Spring has not made its way into your heart just yet please enjoy these adorable Dachshund babies. See more

11.01.2022 Been there, done that.

11.01.2022 Working together to save lives. The coordinated effort of an incredible MRVH Team. Lulu and her babies. #ATeamLikeNoOther

10.01.2022 They give us all the love they have in their hearts so it's only fair that we protect theirs. One mosquito bites is all it takes. We are offering FREE HEARTWORM TESTING with any consult for any dog not currently on Heartworm Prevention or on a monthly chew. Check in with our Customer Care Team for more Information.

10.01.2022 Here is an interesting bit of info the interweb offered up. "ZEUS /n./ The chief of Grecian gods, adored by the Romans as Jupiter and by the modern Americans as God, Gold, Mob and Dog!" Seems you are connected to the real thing Zeus. Not to shabby for a sweet French Bulldog. ... Dr Miranda and Nurse Brit were humbled to be in the presence of such a king. See more

10.01.2022 A Veterinary consult room can be a a lot for puppy, even one as brave as Levi. Dont let those puppy dog eyes fool you. This stoic Australian Bulldog took everything in his stride as he was given not only his Vaccinations but also the many cuddles and kisses from our Team. Who could resist that face?

10.01.2022 Spotty by nature Spot by name. Spot was adopted by our Nurse Ebeth after is was discovered he was entirely deaf. Having a deaf dog as a member of your family has its challenges but the rewards far outweigh the risks. Living and loving as a member of dedicated family just like every other darling dalmatian.

08.01.2022 Dr Miranda knows that sometimes it is just nicer to be on the same level as her patients. Performing a Vaccination and Puppy Wellness Exam on the floor rather than up on a medical table can really help calm an anxious or excited pup. Having such a positive experience in their early years can really set the tone for how pets feel about trips to their vet later in life. Lunar felt nothing but relaxed during her consult and loved this up close and personal attention.

08.01.2022 Guess who was a good girl for liver treats? Nurse Ebeth! No just kidding it was actually Autumn the Shar Pei, she was the good girl for treats. Nurse Ebeth only behaves for chocolate and wine.

08.01.2022 Lotty posing in purple posies like any pretty Papillion should.

08.01.2022 Needing some sweetness in your day? A Caramel Latte is just what you need! Clayton from Kaldi Coffee can hook you up straight from the MRVH verandah! Escape the GRIND from 5am until 2pm Monday to Saturdays! Clayton where have you BEAN all our lives??... See more

07.01.2022 There is something so regal about a Ridgeback dog when they are standing quietly contemplating the person in front of them or their surroundings. Isabelle is no exception. Beautiful girl.

06.01.2022 Did you know that we had a second Veterinary Clinic on lush and tropical Macleay Island? Bay Islands Veterinary Services is our boutique Veterinary Service that has been treating the island pets of Moreton Bay for many years. With the growing population of lucky residents that are living their dream of a sea change it is a relief for them to know that their pets have access to excellent Veterinary Care. Currently our Clinic is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with... an Emergency Transport Service available off the Island to our 24hr Manly Road Veterinary Hospital. Surgeries and Consults are available by appointment on 3409 4962 and the Emergency Transport contact is 0407 771 330. If you have not headed over to the Islands recently we highly recommend you catch the Vehicle or Passenger Ferry over and do some island exploring! See more

05.01.2022 This sweet sad little face belongs to Stella the Staffy. Stella had to have her torn nail removed this week. Torn nails can be very painful and most times require a twilight sedation or light general anaesthetic to fix. This is a much kinder way to treat this particular injury. Could you imagine having your torn nail removed without at very least some local anaesthetic? (Insert shudder here) Ouch! Animals dont really understand the concept of "Just sit still while i i numb the area with this local anaesthetic", so it is much kinder to give them a gentle snooze while we remove the offending nail. Stella is back home with her sister Roxy after getting some TLC from Vet Minli, and happily putting this little trip to our Hospital all behind her. Brave girl Stella, good job.

05.01.2022 Keith really floats our goat and his cuteness can not be bleetin. When Dr Linnett was called out to check on a sick goat she was like Yep I goat this!" When she examined Keith she told him he was wasnt too baaaaaaaad. He then butted in with "You have goat to be kidding me!" Then she said "Toats goats!" and Keith felt better. ... We are total Goataholics here at MRVH. See more

04.01.2022 We have all been there.

03.01.2022 Morris and Stable Manager Alisha spending quality time together. Morris was very interested in his medical chart but he did steam up the I-pad screen quite a bit. Such a beautiful horse inside and out.

03.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day 2020.

03.01.2022 We love how long Saskia (our longest serving Receptionist) has been with us at Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital. She has never tired of giving as much love to our clients as she does the incalculable number of animals she has held in her arms. Saskia is kind, gentle and hard working. A member of our Frontline Team that deserves our gratitude and respect. Thanks Sas you are a superstar.

02.01.2022 We have two adorable little kittens up for adoption. Any and all enquires to be made directly to the Team at MRVH. Give our Team a call and ask for Maddy, Sally or Paula. 2 x males Oreo - black and white ... Milo - brown tabby Will be desexed, microchipped and 1st vacc before adoption Adoption fee: $103 each Quiet home preferable as they are still getting used to the love of humans, meet and greet would be great!

02.01.2022 Horses change lives. They give people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquillity to troubled souls, they give us hope. Hollywood sharing his beautiful self with Dr Linnett and Nurse Lucy. *Thanks to Stable Manager Alisha for the pics and Linnett and Lucy for loving Hollywood so much.

01.01.2022 Who could resist this beautiful face. Eejit Eejit and his bandaid are never far from mums side. Eejit looks after our Equine patients with Stable Manager Alisha and he is just as much a Team member as the rest of us. The bandaid is to protect his sensitive nose from the sun due to his medical condition - Lupus. Eejit will always will be a stunning and clever boy. We are so lucky to see him scampering around the hospital grounds or relaxing on his bed watching mum work.
