22.01.2022 Only a few days left to enter! It's been a challenging year for all, to organise The Manly Fun Run and navigate with the changing restrictions. We are pleased to announce the fun run is going ahead as a Covid Safe virtual event. Signing up is simple, and as long as you have a phone, you can do your run from anywhere on any date between 2-6 September, or take on the original route.... The Manly Virtual Fun Run & Walk is all about supporting the local community. Not only is it a great day out, but your entry fee goes directly to the Rotary Club of Manly. Rotary is volunteer run, with members who pay their own admin fees, meaning all funds raised can help the community with capital works. We only give money to assets and help with tangible projects, so you always know where your money ends up. With lots of smaller charities struggling in 2020, running for a cause one of our designated charities is a great way to help them. As a digital media consultant in the non profit community volunteer sector, Evan has expanded his skills in educating local professionals, businesses and community groups across Australia and beyond to focus on the practical use of social media and how to develop it to brand and market their stories. Evan is a service minded superhero! In whatever way, I’m proving that Rotary isn’t all business. My message is Let’s have fun in Rotary, and with that message I’m engaged in telling Rotary’s digital story.

18.01.2022 24 October is World Polio Day! World Polio Day is a time for Rotarians and Rotaractors across the globe to raise awareness about our work to eradicate polio for good. If we stay committed to making progress, polio will be the second human disease ever to be eradicated. In our fight to end polio, we’ve used our collective strength to defeat this devastating disease in almost every part of the world. This year, the World Health Organization’s African region was certified free of wild poliovirus showing that eradication is possible even in very difficult circumstances. Wild poliovirus still paralyzes children in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and as long as polio exists anywhere, it remains a threat everywhere
