24.01.2022 Our senior choir took to the stage for their debut performance this morning. Their rendition of Eye of the Tiger was high energy and definitely worth the wait. Congratulations to our senior choir on an awesome performance.
24.01.2022 Our year 4, 5 and 6 bands performed today alongside former Manly SS students from Wynnum High. The students have had a wonderful week, lead by Mrs Anderson (also on loan from Wynnum High). 23.01.2022 What a fantastic start to Km Club this morning. It was wonderful to see so many students doing laps towards winning the Km Club Cup. Km Club is every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:15am-8:45am.
23.01.2022 Bravehearts Program Today we enjoyed learning about our feelings and being safe with Ditto and the Braveheart Team. It was very exciting and thought provoking for all of our students. Thank you to our P and C for providing this experience for our children.

18.01.2022 Instrumental Students- Please note Mr Rander is still not well. Band and Instrumental practice is therefore cancelled for this week. We will contact Education Queensland tomorrow for a replacement and catch up band practice during school time this week. We wish Mr Rander a speedy recovery and will keep you notified.

15.01.2022 Fantastic changes are coming from Monday! I was informed today that we may start welcoming our wonderful parents back on site following COVID rules from Monday. We will send a news update to all registered email addresses on Friday with our new rules that will explain distance requirements and limited event attendance. These changes willl not change our graduation arrangements.. I just need a day to work through all of the requirements. We certainly cannot wait to see you all again! cheers, Mr C

12.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our year 6 students who launched their genius hour projects today. The topics were chosen by the students and they determined what they wanted to learn. Thank you to Eve who studied litter and making our bay a better place. More projects coming soon!
12.01.2022 Instrumental Music for Week 10- Next week all instrumental students will participate in a workshop style program. All instrumental students will need to bring their instruments, tradition of excellence book and manly folder on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Friday next week we will play for the school and the performance will be posted on Facebook.
11.01.2022 Our wonderful junior choir performed a mash up of The Lion Sleeps Tonight and Hakuna Matata. Listen out for some fancy two part singing led by Ms Beverley and Mr Kazoullis with choreography from Ms Clark. Looking forward to hearing from our senior choir in Week 9.
11.01.2022 After 100 years, it is time for some repairs and a full repaint for our original Queenslander or as the kids would call it; our OG. Over the next three weeks, the building will be repaired and painted in our traditional colours.

Also, - As per last year, parents are very welcome at school. - Due to COVID, a maximum of 6 adults are allowed in a classroom. We would ask that if the room is at maximum capacity you wait outside until someone leaves. - At pick up time, please stay clear of class verandahs. This will enable the students to pack their bag and preven...t conjestion. - Please stay home if you are unwell or displaying any COVID like symptoms. - All students wear formal uniform on day one. - Tea and Tissues will be offered by our P and C outside the tuckshop for our new Prep parents from 8.55am. We expect all grades to be emailed by 6pm. -Prep report cards have no achievement standard as per Queensland Education directions. Due to COVID, it was decided to provide comments only for this report card. -Mr Rander is away this week - this means no band, fife, or instrumental practice for our music students. -KM club will commence tomorrow and Thursday from 8.15-8.45am on the oval from weeks 3 - ...week 7. Students who have band on these mornings are required to attend band. Due to COVID restrictions, parents cannot join in KM club this year. We hope we can return to normal next year.
